The bass was missing 2 lugs out of the box but MF sent out 2 additional lugs once I contacted them. The bass drum measures out to be 20" deep, has a double rack mount, and beefy over sized feet/spurs, I mount 3 Toms, a Chime bar and a splash cymbal from it. It is the sound I was looking for when I finely got a 24x16" bass, deep and musical. After 2+ years traveling and in a fixed location (large church), the Lacquered maple finish shows a chip and a scratch or two. I am very pleased with the sound, and people comment on how attractive they look and sound. I have fallen in love w/the 14" floor tom, so much that I rarely reach all the way back to my 18" floor tom. I don't use the 8" much but it is so pretty, I usually include it with the larger kit of:8,10,12,13,14,16,and 18" Toms 22" bass and 2 or 3 sneer drums. I have had good and bad luck w/ pulse, but when you get a good one they are as good as you will find in any brand. I teach and have played for 48 years. I do not like ISO mounts; the increased size of the mounts make them harder to place close together, and they don't fit gig bags as easy. These are unusually large. I use Aquarian drumheads when I can get them. I hope this helps. -John
