Comments about Regal Tip Hickory Drumsticks:

I got these on a lark because I had every other stick Regal Tip makes that might work for jazz from 5A on down, and didn't know what to expect, but these are "perfect", just the right blend/mix of the light touch of a 7A (15" in RT) and 5A or 8A, or other "jazz" sticks, even ones w/ that label on them (16") since these are 15.5" and have a great "alive" feel to them. The shaft is sightly thicker, ideal for my big hands, but the "bouncy" response is just what I was looking for. Game over. Fyi, the JC-model, by Calato himself, is identical except it's 16", also great if you want that standard stick feel w/ a touch more weight.

I have used this size sticks for more than twenty years. I do not have a long reach but if I'm playing jazz or switch up to swing or even southern rock I can "FLIP" my left stick to achieve a great attact, rebound and the quality sound I require.
