Comments about Regal Tip Jeff Hamilton Performer Series Drumsticks:

I used to only use bigger sticks (don't judge me, I used Vic Firth SD2 Bolero's, but if you get the chance, try them, they make for good jazz sticks too), and when my professor told me he wanted me to use Jeff Hamilton sticks, I was freaked out by the thinness (0.500 diameter). Now, three months later, I wouldn't want to use anything else. The tip makes the perfect sound on the cymbals and gives great tone out of the drums. They're lightweight, which allows you to manipulate them in your hands much easier. Great buy, definitely recommend!!

    Perfect

Comments about Regal Tip Jeff Hamilton Performer Series Drumsticks:

I've been playing with these sticks for awhile now and they are perfect for big band and jazz. You can tell they're made for Jeff Hamilton's playing which makes them more fun to play with. The thin triangular head makes it easy for putting pressure into the toms to change the pitch while soloing or filling. I definitely recommend these for any player.

    Great sticks, very versatile!

Comments about Regal Tip Jeff Hamilton Performer Series Drumsticks:

I've always loved the Regal Tip glossy finish! It feels so good in your hands! These are thin sticks (at .500 diameter) and they are light and easy to play with, although they feel bigger and sturdier than the are. Don't get me wrong, you wouldn't confuse these for 5A's, but you may think at .500 diameter, they would be absolute toothpicks, but they aren't. I've played other jazz sticks at or near .500, and these feel more sturdy and more all-purpose than those do. The triangular tip gives you sharp, warm and precise cymbal sounds, but they also give great full, warm tones on the toms. A lot of sticks sound great on drums and weak on cymbals (and vice-versa). These sound great on both. Give these a try! Don't let the .500 diameter scare you away. They feel great and don't feel "wimpy" like a lot of thin jazz sticks can feel.
