To the guy who gave a bad review. You just bought a snare side head and put it on the batter side, LOL, of course it will break when you hit it. It is design only for the bottom of the drum and is made of thinner material. Just read carefully before you buy. This is a very great product I've been using this kind of snare side head.

Best snare side drum head ever. makes any snare drums sounds better. is so sensitive and no over toned great for every style of music.

Overall it is good, its no bad.. but great for starting out as a new drummer till you realize how you will want to change it later after 2 years.. well depends but if you really want to know I'd recommend it!
I like the head, I really do.. but what is hard is to find the sound you want with this head. I can NEVER find it, so I took an advice from my drummer (I'm a guitarist, bassist, and pianist) to tune the head all the way up but it still didn't satisfy the sound I wanted.. I mean I'm okay on drums, not bad or great, just enough where I could pick up any song my church does in a heart beat and get it close as the CD.
It's in good tip-top shape, nice feel, and I like after having it for a while it starts to age into dirty white-brown in the center. But still wish I could get a better sound in them.
Value is good for the quality and features..

Excellent snare side head for all types of drums and music. Remember: This is NOT the Batter (top) side head, it is not meant to be played with sticks.
What can you say. This head does what it says. It is a good fit for most brands of drums and provides the snare snappy resonation require for just about any type of music. I have used these heads for many years on Gretsch, Ludwig, Rogers and Slingerland snares playing Rock, Blues and some Jazz.
Well constructed. I have never had a problem with the head.

this snare side head is great its really thin and sensitive so it picks up any sound weather you play soft or beat it crazy hard like i do. any way you play it works. just dont hit this head. i somtimes get a little crazy when i play and i kncked my snare down and the stand poked a hole in the head. so now i am gonna buy another one and not knock my snare down again

this head replicates a stock snare side head's sound and also adds senitivity. it tunes up nice and easy and holds its pitch. you have nothing to lose buying this head.

I own a '72 set of Rogers. I also own a Rogers Dynasonic snare in great shape. For several years I have used different Remo heads on this snare. Several years ago I decided to go back to the original Remo heads that came with this snare. They were a Remo Ambassador coated batter, and an Ambassador hazy snare-side head. My Dynasonic sounded exactly the way when I first used my snare.

This is a great snare SIDE head, I just got it in the mail today and i popped it on and i also got a gilbraltar 42 strand strainer. It took forever to stop the rattling but i had to tighten it up like crazy, i just hope the strands dont break, the head is very sensitve and poppy but i thought it would be white instead of hazy clear. And it marks easily so keep that in mind. Overall great buy!

This is a really nice sounding snare head. It does have more ring to it then my old snare head but the sound is starting to grow on me. You cannot hear the ring while playing on the set anyway, just if you play the snare by itself. The perfect head for the type of music I play and I would definetly pick up another one. It had the pop and snap I was looking for in a head.
