These puppies just came in today. I tuned them to the very best of my ability and needless to say these things are just awesome. I'm recording an EP and needed something more brighter than my current dulled out coated Evans. These Pinstripes blew me away. If properly tuned, they sound like Jesus made them instead of Remo. Beautiful bright sound. They are a MUST GET. Excellent price too!

When I first got these i was so excited that i would finally have name brand heads. The stock heads i had were in tune but just rang too much because they were single ply. I slapped these babies on tuned them for about an hour and they sounded awesome. They gave me a deep fat sound that i had craved after. Then about 2 weeks past and they were dead. I was so disappointed i thought they should at least lasted a month, but i guess not. I have recently bought remo coated emperors and they are awesome much better than pinstripes and last longer. So if your going to buy pins just take in consideration they don't last very long.

Comments about Remo Clear Pinstripe Head:
There is one setting. One dynamic. Hit it.
no glancing blows need apply.Use a heavy stick to fully
achieve maximum tone.
These heads are not the greatest for jazz chops. They have
a bright attack and natural decay when tuned properly but
you have to pound them a bit to get the desired tone.
I decided to simply use another drum kit with coated mediums for lighter playing styles and save the pin stripes for the rock gigs.

Comments about Remo Clear Pinstripe Head:
A couple of yeas ago I changed from a metal to a wood snare. I haven't used this head for years and thought I was getting good sound from another type of head. I can hear clearly now!!!! This is bright, clean, clear, pearcing but not overwhelming. The natural bounce of the stick is almost unreal at a similar head tension. I am very impressed to be reminded of what I had forgot about this head. I have heard in practice recordings of the same song with the old head and the new head, a beautiful bright sound that on playback fells so good....

Comments about Remo Clear Pinstripe Head:
I bought a whole set of Pinstripes for a Yamaha Recording Custom I picked up with tom sizes 10,12,13,14,16,18.
I normally don't do Remo, two ply, or premuffled heads (personal preference), but Pinstripes seem like standard fair on these drums, so I thought I'd give them a go.
I was pleasantly surprised at the sound.
They have a nice attack, decent sustain, and will probably last forever.
I highly recommend them for floor toms. They may be a bit too muffled for smaller toms.

Comments about Remo Clear Pinstripe Head:
I have been useing the pinstripe heads for over 20 years. I have tried other heads over the years, just to see if there was anything better out there that would work for me. I havent found anything as durable, tight sounding,or with that great deep fat sound. They may need a little muffling, but once you get them tuned they stay there, even for heavy hitters like me, so I have been told I hit hard , these things can take a punch, and ask for more. I use them on all of my drums even the snare. If you do punch a hole you still have another head to get you through the gig, or at least untill your next break between sets.If you like to rock hard, & keep on rockin, you wont be disapointed.

Comments about Remo Clear Pinstripe Head:
These are great drum heads. I have them for my whole kit and they sound great. They practically as good as the Remo DW clear/coated version for less money. I am very happy with them.
Comments about Remo Clear Pinstripe Head:
As some of you may know, the basic low dollar pulse drumset is not the best. Especially the stock heads. So i decided to put these on my toms and i was absolutely blown away...whith nothing but the standard pulse reso heads, my set sounds just as good if not better than my teacher's DW set. Granted they take about 30 min of tuning for each tom to get it right but man is it worth it....i am about to get ebony ambassador reso and ill see how that works but i highly recommend these heads no matter what resos you have
Not expensive but i am a cheapskate

Comments about Remo Clear Pinstripe Head:
i will give these heads an eight because they are good heads but they do have a couple flaws that you can fix with dampening rigs or tape.
I just started playing drums a few years ago and when i got my set a (sound percussion pro 8 piece double bass drum kit) when i ordered it i was looking for some aftermarket heads to replace the crappy factory heads and i stumbled upon these. I was hooked when i pulled them out of the box and threw them on my set the only problem i had is that they had some unwanted over tones so i grabbed some tape (duct tape ) and ripped off some squares and put them on the edges of the heads and it helped a lot. although these heads have over tones every drum head has over tones. If you are a drummer just starting out you don't need an expensive set just get a decent kit that all you have to do is buy cymbals a throne and drum sticks and purchase aftermarket drum heads.
I would say that these heads are the bomb especially for hard hitters they will get you buy when you need them the most.
honestly for the price they are a steal for the price .
Comments about Remo Clear Pinstripe Head:
I love these heads! The Remo Pinstripes are the first drum heads i have owned that are't stock heads. The moment i tuned them up they made a deep and fat sound which i love. The tuning isn't hard either! (i'm a noob at tuning) and the pinstripe is the great part to keep it from resonating. I'd recommend these to anyone.
Comments about Remo Clear Pinstripe Head:
Ive got one of the cheapest drumsets money can buy, which is just the standard pulse starter kit. And even with this kit ive got some of the best sounding toms ive hears by using these heads. One of my heads broke and i pulled up the site, these were a great price so i bought one and loved it! Now im getting them on all of my toms and i couldnt be happier other than i am only 13 and now that its not summer i have no job for money so i wish they were cheaper; but totally worth the money. BUY THESE HEADS!!!!!!
