I purchased these about 2 years ago for my gretsch catalina ash drumset. I was mostly just buying these for the looks. Don't get me wrong. When you put these on your set, they look fantastic. The first few months, they sounded amazing, and they were all i could ask for. Time went by, and I began to get sick of them. They had a dead sound and for me, they rang out far too long for my taste. I would recommend the emperor suede black heads if you want black heads. These will get the job done though.

I put this on my 13 in piccolo and it sounded very poppy and that is how I like it. I tried it on the top if my toms with a coated Emperor on bottom, and the ebony sounds terrible. I'm using Evans from now on.

Comments about Remo Ebony Ambassador Head:
I am 14 and have been drumming since first grade. I am now a freshman in high school. I have a Tama art star II drum set. I have had this set for about two years now. When i put on these drum heads, my toms sounded more full and clear. I was really impressed. I would recommend this drum head!!!
Comments about Remo Ebony Ambassador Head:
I have used the Ambassador ebony heads on my drum set and some marching drums in the past and have been very satisfied with the quality and performance. I have also purchased from MF in the past without any problems.
I ordered 2 ambassador ebony heads for my marching drums. they were listed as "In Stock" . I received a backorder statement the next day. I needed them for a parade on the weekend and they did not arrive in time. They were also damaged in shipping. The box was folded in half. Needless to say the heads were useless.
I called customer service and MF did send new heads without charge. I am satisfied with their response
Comments about Remo Ebony Ambassador Head:
The drum heads purchased from you were recieved in top condition and on the date you indicated they should be. My grandson is very happy with them. The transaction was a pleasing expierence.

Comments about Remo Ebony Ambassador Head:
Great heads, jumpstarted my ludwig drum set, sweet on the eyes, easy to tune, though they do mark easily. I finally got that deep, full, warm sound. put them on my 12,13, and 16 toms. sound great.
Comments about Remo Ebony Ambassador Head:
I had these on my old set as the reasonant heads (Clear Emperors for batter) and they were amazing, I never had to re-tune them (my set never got moved from my room unless I was going to my bands practice) they have a great tone and will hold it forever (as said above) but, not for batter heads, I used them first as batter heads and had the same problem of a few guys before, they just cracked right down the middle, bottem line these are great REASONANT heads, in fact, now I'm about to buy some new ones for my set...
Comments about Remo Ebony Ambassador Head:
I bought this head for my 14" pearl steel snare with high hopes, and for the most part I liked the remo sound that came with it, but right smack dab in the middle of a gig, the head cracked down the middle and ripped. I had the head for only 2 months. Maybe i purchased a defective product, but I will definetly be cautious with every remo head i buy in the future.
Comments about Remo Ebony Ambassador Head:
These things are simply amazing. I have a cheap $200 drum set that sounds horrible, and put these (along with the ebony pinstripes) and my toms sound like a REAL drum set (haha). Good for live and recording.Wouldn't so much recommend for a snare batter, but for everything else, would buy anytime. Not too pricey, Remo name brand, last forever...what more could you want?
Comments about Remo Ebony Ambassador Head:
I've had the Remo Embony Ambassador Heads on my set for years. They tune very easily, give a great sound, hold to hard hits, and broken sticks. They can even turn some not very good shells into slightly less not very good shells. I recomend them if you don't like to change your tom heads...ever.
