    Good stuff

    I'm not a pro drummer, I'm actually a guitarist that loves to drum so I did not need something super expensive. I know Remo makes good stuff and I needed something to replace my stock Ludwig heads... These were priced right and the snare sounds way better then I expected.

    IT was cheap
    This is a great replacment head. It is pretty cheap, and it sounds great, expecally when tightened. I play REALLY hard, and this head is still going hard after 4 months.

    I use this head along with a clear pinstripe batter head on my Ludwig Supraphonic for a bit of woody sound and a nice loud snap when tuned higher.

    Deep...Very Deep

    This is a great replacment snare side head. It is the thickest that remo makes so it gives your snare a great deep tone. It makes my regular (pretty crappy) 5.5x14 snare sound like a deep 6.5. The response is still great and it just adds so much to your snare. If you want that phat tone out of your regular old snare, i strongly suggest this head.

    recomended for piccolo snares

    Comments about Remo Emperor Snare Underside Snare Drum Head:

    I would give higher numbers in the catagories, but its your standard remo product so it isn't anything extraordinary. I mean, it is just your standard snare side head. But I do recommend this head for drummers with piccolo snare drums because they can tend to be a bit too bright and too sensitive. The thicker snare side head gives a fuller and beefier tone to the overall sound. I use a standards coated ambassador top head with this and it can do just about any trick from the piccolo snap to a deep rock snare.
