I have been playing drums for 35 years. I have never been able to acheive the sound I wanted with my kick drum until now. I recently purchased the Remo Powerstroke 3 kick drum head, and OMG ! AMAZING sound ! I dont know why I havent purchased this head before now. "Im kicking myself right now." If you are frustrated with the sound of your kick drum, GET THIS HEAD !

I first got the coated weathering ambassadors heads for my snare and toms. (clear weathering ambassadors on resonant side) Awesome! I recorded a record the following week and it was the best tones I have ever accomplished yet.
After breaking a bass head, I got this bass drum head. Punchy, booming, clear tones followed. It brought my playing alive more than ever. I read several reviews on several products and many said that remo's weatherking series were the best. After using several types over the years, I couldn't agree more.
This is top quality. You cannot go wrong.
I would buy it again next time.

This is the only kick head I will ever use. PS3 is by far the best, it is the most used from REMO.You barely tune it off rinkle and you got it. My Kick is empty and sounds like a cannon.

For my liking the Power Stroke 3 and Evans EQ 4 are the best heads for my kits. Funny thing is on my Sonor the Evans comes through but on my Gretsch kit the Remo is my head of choice. Both are great heads.

This 1-ply head immediately got compliments from multiple sound guys! I tune mine to an "A" and put a thin pillow in the drum touching both heads. Tre Ccol uses this head, that's why I tried it and I'm on my 2nd one now. I'm a medium hitter, but I still use the included patch for a little breakage insurance! Buy this head!

I installed this Remo head on the bass drum of my Traps set.It beefed up the sound and gave more drive than the original head that came on the set.

The head is very easy to tune right out of the box, and the best part about it, is the amount of punch you didn't know you had. It resonates beautifully on my 24'' Gretsch, and there is no way there is anything better

I've played drums for 35-40 yrs and this is by far the best bass drum batter head I've used or heard. I use it on a 22" Vistalite. It has a very deep sound with no no annoying overhanging ring. Damping is unnecessary. The bass sounds fabulous with this as a batter and a Evans single ply resonate head. I don't use the dot but I can't remember what effect it had on the sound. YMMV. Just buy it, especially if you have a lively set like the Ludwig Vistalites
