The dark, warm, round tone is highly recommended for traditional jazz, R&B, and classic rock drum set applications, as well as for concert snare drums, bass drums, and toms. Also provides an excellent, authentic ethnic drum sound when used on world percussion instruments.

    Comments about Remo Powerstroke 3 Simulated Calfskin Fiberskyn 3 FA Batter:

    You can have both from this head. I tune this head med/high on top as my snare batter, while the bottom head gets a lower tuning. The end result is a full snare that allows you to chop it up and still retain a large backbeat. I like moderately resonant tone too, so this head is my match.
