A versatile, durable addition to your percussion arsenal.

The Doumbek plays a central role in both popular and classical Middle-Eastern music, and is often heard in ensembles with the Riq and Tar. 15"H x 8" diameter.

Traditional doumbek shells are made from metal, clay, or fired ceramic. Remo's Pretuned doumbek uses an Acousticon drum shell material which is lightweight, durable and is covered in an attractive cloth finish. Overall, this doumbek is a super light weight drum that produces a professional quality sound with the Remo Renaissance Pre-tuned weather resistant drumhead.

Comments about Remo Pretuned Diane Doumbek:

I play for a bellydance class. This drum has a great feel to it, as it says it came perfectly pretuned. Not too heavy, not too light. Sits very comfortably and has a little texture so it won't slide around too easily. Shape of the rim encourages many different styles of playing and experimentation. Dum, tek and ka are all very good on this broad ranged instrument. If you are a beginner or experienced looking to add to your collection I wouild recommend this to both.

          Great for my first drum

Comments about Remo Pretuned Diane Doumbek:

I've been playing guitar for almost 4 years now, and have done some recording. Up til now i've just used my keyboard to record drums for my songs. This is my first drum and I havn't had too much experience with percussion before, and this is a great drum for where I'm at. It was resonably priced and sounds great. A great creative tool.

          Good starter doumbek

Comments about Remo Pretuned Diane Doumbek:

My dad always wanted a doumbek, I bought him this one for his birthday-fathersday gift. Mainly because it was cheap but it far exceeds its pricetag. Has a wide range of sound for such a small drum. If you're getting started I recomend The Remo 15X8 Doumbek for the quality at an amazing price!
