A pet peeve of mine has always been threading the nut up to the cymbal, grrrrr... This stops that nonsense. Shove it on and twist; done!

This clutch is well engineered. I'm a heavy hitter and heavy stomper. I have not experienced any slippage from the wingnut and I havent ever had a single worry about the threading potentially stripping out like every other clutch i've owned has (drop, locking, standard, big and heavy, slim and light). I would shake the engineer's hand because this clutch is absolutely perfect in design. It is efficient in retaining your desired tension and the locking design on the bottom is brilliant. I'm never worried about my clutch failing because for the 2 years that i have been playing on it, it has been perfect. You will never sigh out of discontent for having to waste a minute of your life unscrewing the clutch to remove the cymbal when you tear down ever again. This is the best clutch on the market and will last forever.

I bought this item to replace the stock clutch on a Tama hi hat stand that kept failing. After playing it for about 6 months, it's a great buy. It has not slipped on me but maybe twice and both were my fault for not tightening them down all the way. The major selling point for me was the twist and lock bottm piece. Quick and easy for tearing kit down for travelling and shows. It will come apart on you but you can fix it by putting another felt in betwen to make the connection tighter. Did that and have not has a single issue with it. Normal cymbal wear flattens out the felts, just put some another one in there. It also will not make the connection so tight that the cymbals don't have normal range of motion during playing. I'd get this item. You will be happy with purchase after giving it a fair try.
