The title says it, they control your tone, and get rid of that excessive ring. Doesn't make your drums quieter, just sound better. Definately worth the money!

These are beutiful!  They make the drum heads sound like new! I learned that when the rings bend, vibrate, and or fall off. Just use invisible tape and the rings will stay still, with no sound change.

these are amazing and well worth the price, i was going to buy new drum heads because of the ring but they were way more expensive so one of the workers at the music store told me to try them out and they did the job, except i have a set of 12", 13" 14" and 16"

they work pretty well for a couple of weeks, then they start to bend and make noise when you hit the drums, does make some difference though.

These actually do affect your tone. Takes that hollow thud sound from drums to brightens them up a bit while removing a good portion of resonance. My only complaint is that they don't have a set offering a thirteen inch ring instead of the ten inch one. Anyways, good product, good deal. Even if these will only fit most of your drum kit, just buy it. Give the other one to a friend or something. It's a good deal for this price. Cheers.
