These things work really well, except for th 16" it vibrates on he floor tom. But they're cheap easy to use and make your set sound great. Also the 14" works on a 13" tom, atleats the ones i have did.

these are awesome. I was a bit skeptical before they arrived because i had some moongel on my toms and snare, but compared to those, these sound so much better. On my pdp concept set, they sounded a little dead. With these, however, they sound pretty close to the beautiful round sound of a maple dw set. I would recommend these to anybody looking for dampening.

These are nice, thick control rings, a little smaller in width than the Evans rings I replaced, but they seem sturdier, a.k.a. "thicker". The only improvements may be best directed toward Remo in that the rings should be wider as the drum size increases. The 16" in this case seems a little too narrow. AND, come on packaging department, the adhesive Remo uses to secure them(and I know it keeps the rings nice during shipping) is a mess to get off the rings after they're removed from the paperboard backing. I had to use care when scraping off the strong adhesive, then (a good method for safely removing adhesive) I used baking soda to remove the rest ( it must be rubbed lightly with a finger). I use Remo products because they work well. The packaging, in this case, does not.

The title says it, they control your tone, and get rid of that excessive ring. Doesn't make your drums quieter, just sound better. Definately worth the money!

These are ESSENTIAL to good sound!!
The first thing I add to any kit that I own are tone control rings...first thing! These make my kits sound so much better. I can't acheive this sound by using anything else. I do tape the rings to the drum heads just so they stay firmly in place, and so that I don't lose or damage them as I go from gig to gig. Before you add a cowbell, woodblock, splash cymbal, etc...do yourself a favor and buy a set of these.
If you can't find all of the right sizes in the sets that are offered, use the extras for back-ups and replacements (you can get by in a pinch with a smaller ring on a drum at a gig, so the odd sizes still have value).

These are beutiful! They make the drum heads sound like new! I learned that when the rings bend, vibrate, and or fall off. Just use invisible tape and the rings will stay still, with no sound change.
