Pros: These add so much to my drum set and are incredibly fun to play. I just love them. They are awesome for drum solos as well as trippy spacey jam stuff (listen to the intro to Time by Pink Floyd). Also they will make your kit look so much more impressive.Cons: They are not nearly as loud as actual drums due to the lack of a shell, therefore if they are un-miced they can get drowned out if there is lots of noise from other instruments. Although the stand itself is incredibly durable, the bar they mount to can be difficult to deal with, and it gets kinda warped when I take the rotos on and off.But overall I love these things and would recommend them to any drummer looking to expand their set.

I have been behind the drums now for over 38 years, and I must say that the Remo Roto Toms are a wonderful addition to my Tama drum kit. I have them set up in front of my double floor toms where I use them as an added percussion effect while performing a drum solo. Any serious drummer should obtain a set of the 6", 8", and 10" Roto Toms. They're great!

Comments about Remo Roto Toms 6", 8" and 10":
This is a great addition to any drum set but have a some thing in mind:
1. these are not toms. You have to be creative to be able to blend them into your style of music if you play rock or similars.
2. They are not loud. Mic them if you can.
3. I keep them on the stand and carry them like that. Yes, they are bulky, but if you fit them in a duffel bag (with long handles) upside down they are easy to carry.
4. I put Remo CS dot heads on them as they were the original heads used when these came out. I believe a single ply head matches the nature of the instrument with a more focused and live sound. I find pinstripes a little dull and mostly suited for beginners that don't know how to tune yet.(I've been there)
5. They can be hard to set in small venues but I re-arranged my cymbal set up and replaced a couple of stands with clamps and arms and now I have a decent space for the rotos. If the hi-hat rod is on the way, cut it. You don't need 20" of rod above your hats. I left only a few inches to use a trick-hat, that's all you need.
These will not only expand your kit but they will also force you to think outside the box. Great instrument!

Comments about Remo Roto Toms 6", 8" and 10":
I really like the sound and quality of these toms, they are fun to play. I like to use them in solos best. I do believe they are right in the pocket for Latin songs. The reason I would not recommend them some drummers just do not need them and many rock, blues and other band leaders might just tell you to take them home. I mostly wanted them for fun, however they are much more then a toy.

Comments about Remo Roto Toms 6", 8" and 10":
Don't buy these if you think they are the thing. They are neat, sound great, and are absolutely of no use if you can't think outside of the box when playing drums.
I play them for a couple of years and then put them away, rinse and repeat. After 20 years of having a set, they are set up right now in my studio and I still find myself enjoying them.
There's nothing magical about them, and there's something magical about them at the same time. It depends on your mindset when you're playing.
Since I can't truly answer the next question with their yes/no I'll say that I'd tell anyone about them. But I wouldn't call it a recommendation. I'd rather invite them over to hear them and decide for themselves.
Proper tuning is the key, but discretion is the better part of valor in playing your kit. As for tuning, the 8" should be between your high tom and your low tom, and the 10" between your low tom and your floor tom, but that's just my perception.

Love the sound, mixed by my existing toms. Trying to find something to carry them in though. I might come up with idea to hold the rack more sturdy, also, rather than with the one bolt and washer.

Great sound, and great quality. Sometimes I put these in my drum set, and they are a great addition. They are rather bulky, however, and they seem quite fragile. The stand is a bit confusing, but very sturdy nonetheless.
Comments about Remo Roto Toms 6", 8" and 10":
Theese toms are amazing theyve lasted me about 4 years and sound great for any type of music the only possible downside i could think of is the fact that they take up a good amount of space on my drumset and are very heavy but they are a great buy. i love to customize the pitch by easily turning the heads. If your looking for three extra toms on your set for a great price that you can basically make sound however you want theese are certainly the toms to get
