Fantastic deal! I put this on and it made the drum sound meaner and deeper. I didn't even change the actual shell! Well, before this I did have my origional Ludwig head. Not to say that Ludwig is bad, I am just saying that is was getting old. But I REALLY enjoy playing this head. If you are in need of a snarehead, this is the snarehead for you.
I got this thing in the skulls version, and my set already looks a WHOLE lot meaner.
Well, it is remo. In my opinion, Remo is the way to go. It is real thick and will last you a long time. And it will look good the entire time.
For the money, this was an incredible buy! As far as Remo heads go, this one was not that much more expensive than the rest.

Picked up the 14" Skulls from my local music store and slapped it on my son's Supraphonic just one week before a big gig: we were blown away. Tuned up very easily and delivered great tone. Appears to be very durable with barely noticeable stick marks. Highly recommend for his Progressive Rock genre, but also noticed great articulation at low volume playing.

I recently purchased this mostly for the looks at first expecting a decent sound. When i got it and put it on tuned it up and played, i was blown away, the sound is great also I use heavy sticks and hit hard and it barely leaves a mark! The great look of it really adds to my kit and its great, I suggest buying it.
