    I have a powerstroke 3 on the batter side and this on the resonant side. I get the thud I wanted. I would not recommend as a batter head, though.

    This head has an excellent sound, and looks great. It has the deep sound that i wanted, yet it also can have a punchy sound most like the pros sound after EQing and processing and then recording. Great head for a great price
