I have mine mounted underneath my hi-hat. It's great. The only thing I wish I would of bought instead of this tambourine is possibly its "brass" jingle counterpart. This tambourine comes either with brass or nickel jingles. I believe the brass jingle tambourine is a few more dollars - but brass is louder & more cutting when hit then nickel. I of course own the nickel plated jingle tambourine. You might find that the nickel plated jingle tambourine gets drowned out by the rest of your drum set like I did. It's still great though. Its not like you can't hear it. But still, I would go with the brass jingle tambourine if I was going to do it again. A recommendation of mine would be to buy the Meinl Hi-Hat tambourine in addition to this mountable hi-hat. My inspiration to play became twice as strong after adding both of these tambourines to my set. Fantastic!

Comments about RhythmTech Nickel Drum Tambourine:

This is the second time I buy this tambourine, the first one lasted close to 4 years. It is a low volume tambourine, it has a good sound it is better for slow songs like worship or ballad. I play percussion and it works great for me. If you want something loud you need to buy the LP cyclops. I also own the lp and it's great and loud different sound a little more aggressive. I would recommend the lp for a drummer if you are gonna play it with the snare .

Comments about RhythmTech Nickel Drum Tambourine:

Mounts easily and has an edge guard so it can take a beating from your sticks...very nice jingle sound...wish the volume cut through more but the band I play in is extremely loud to begin with. Overall, it was a decent purchase.

Love it! Fit's perfectly on the mount or high-hat rod and the rubber strip on it is a nice touch. Sounds good so far and looks good so far too, Perfect way to spice up your drum sets' sound!

Comments about RhythmTech Nickel Drum Tambourine:

This Tambourine is alright. When I hit it or stomp with it on my hi-hat it cannot be heard over the rest of my kit. It also doesn't stay hooked on very well, I have to use tape to hold it in place.

Comments about RhythmTech Nickel Drum Tambourine:

The tambourine does not mount well to my hi-hat and it is not loud enough to be heard over my drum kit. It?s a good tambourine but if you play louder music then it might be hard to hear.

    Beware of this purchase...

Comments about RhythmTech Nickel Drum Tambourine:

Beware of this purchase. It is shown with a mount and rod. These items DO NOT come with your tamborine and must be purchased seperately. The tamborine is fine and plays well (I like the higher pitch silver jingles over the brass one), but the advertisement is deceptive and disappointing.
