My overall opinion of Rimshot-Locs is that they really are amazing and easy to use. I found them to be totally reliable no matter how hard I hit my drum. Ever since I started playing drums the loose tension rod thing has been a problem for me. It's over now. I will be getting more Rimshot-Locs soon for my rack toms and floor tom. The price is good and the fit and look of the parts is great. I will be recommending these locks to my friends who drum.
I recently purchased a couple of RSL-Mini 10 packs for my Tama Superstar snare drum. They were easy to install and almost invisable on my drum. You could hardly notice them once they were locked into place and the acutually made my drum look kinda cool when you did notice them.These locks really solved my drums loose tension rod detuning. For real man... no more loose tension rods and my drum stays in tune for days on end. My playing is very hard and aggressive and I hit a lot of rimshots!! The Rimshot-Locs didn't budge. I'd recommend these locks to any drummer who plays hard and wants to stay in tune. For the money, they are absolutely worth it. They also keep your tension rods and washers on the rim-hoop when your changing drum heads. Killer!!!.... no more lost rods or washers!! Nice.......
The quality is excellent. Beautiful chromed brass and stainless steel that blends into your drum hardware really nicely. The wrench-key tool is really nice and fits well in your pocket.
These things are an amazing value. Do you know how many minutes, hours, days, of my life are going to be spent doing something other than retuning my snare drum????? This is the best money I've spent in a long time.
