Comments about Roland KD-120 V-Kick Trigger Pad:
Overall great product... Good job ROLAND!
Ordered on the website, shipped very quickly... Packaged perfect... I'm loving this kick drum.. Mesh head is awesome and it's a big hitting area which is great for double kick.
It's a substantial size in comparison to the rubber roland electric kicks, but the overall response is great with my DW pedals. Just don't use the felt pads of your kick pedal as it will mark them up over time.
Like I said earlier, it's really made well... It should hold up for quite awhile. It's a bit pricey, but you do get what you pay for.
Comments about Roland KD-120 V-Kick Trigger Pad:
I've been wanting one of these for a few months, and been playing with one at Guitar Center religiously. The only thing I'm disapointed in is the price...and the price at Guitar center is much cheaper...I was hoping to find a deal online; but alas, it isn't meant to be.
Comments about Roland KD-120 V-Kick Trigger Pad:
I was convinced to get a KD-8 pad because I had heard these KD-120 mesh pads got too much bounce to use as a reliable bass drum due to the difficulty in controlling the beater's rebound. After having used both now, I would recommend this one without question. It's quieter with a much nicer noise, and it's bigger and sturdier. It does get an awful lot of bounce, but if you simply wrap your beater heads with some cloth, you can eliminate that completely if it bothers you.
Comments about Roland KD-120 V-Kick Trigger Pad:
I bought the Roland KD-120 kick pad to accommodate a double kick pedal I wanted to use with my Yamaha DTX kit. The Roland kick pad was easy to assemble, it only took about 5 minutes to pull it out of the box, assemble, and hook-up with my existing kit. You may need to adjust a little to fit the kick pedal exactly how you want it, but that didn
Comments about Roland KD-120 V-Kick Trigger Pad:
I've played a number of different kick triggers from several different manufacturers, and this is far and away the most solid, realistic feeling electronic kick trigger. It's so expensive it makes me want to slap sombody, but its money well spent nonetheless.
Comments about Roland KD-120 V-Kick Trigger Pad:
that's the best way to describe this pad. Not only is there no mistriggering, but it's built like a tank. I actually prefer this over an acoustic bass drum, and look foward to buying another one to use as a second kick.
