After purchasing and returning a cheaper keyboard amplifier I decided to fork out a couple extra dough and get something designed for drums. My DTX400K still sounds better in my headphones but this is finally an acceptable way to practice in an open environment. Bass drum lacks the real thump, but that's understandable. The rest of the drums are not too bad either. I put the volume low at night not to disturb the neighbors and it works great. Much more fun practicing with the amp than the headphones that give a more isolated experience even if the sound quality isn't perfect. For that you need real drums which isn't happening in my condos because of the neighbors and my restricted room size. I love to click on this amp and practice for about fifteen minutes before playing around with other stuff. You would think that it cranks out some major volume because of the wattage and relative size/weight. Volume wise it has some limitations but loud enough where you could practice with an electric guitar that isn't cranked too much. I'm glad I bought it. I feel like I don't need the inconvenience of a real set for the moment and I really use my electronic drums to record with in the end. Nice product.

Comments about Roland PM-10 V-Drum Speaker System:

I bought this for my Alesis Crimson kit and I really like the sound quality. I use this speaker for personal use in my house. I don't play live music, but I imagine this would get drowned out by guitars and a bass. I bought mine from a restocked one and I couldn't be happier. Bass really hits when this thing is cranked.

sounds good for a home monitor...it wouldn't be loud enough for any kind of band situation, but the quality is pretty good considering the size of it...

        Roland PM-10 V-drum amp

        By Dano-yu6jN

        from Hollywood, Fl.

Comments about Roland PM-10 V-Drum Speaker System:

I have the Yamaha DTXplorer and I love to bang the drums in the house along with recorded music. The amp puts out plenty of sound. You will have to play around with the volume controls both on the amp and on the drum module to get things right, but once you do, let the banging begin. Its nice to play and not wear headphones. I know that sometimes my wife wants to hear me play so this amp lets it happen. My amp use is strictly in-house practice and for that, I got what I wanted out of the product.

Great Studio Monitor, Awesome For Home!

        By The_Animal

        from Hawaii

Comments about Roland PM-10 V-Drum Speaker System:

Bought this monitor about six months ago and, boy, it still plays like it did right out of the box. Bass levels are excellent, and the sound is crystal clear. Awesome quality for the price.Don't let people tell you that it's bad because the volume isn't that loud. That's why it's called a "personal monitor." This baby will let you hear everything going on on your kit.Other companies may have cheaper stuff, but it can't match the quality shown here. No complaints on this one. Just two words: BUY IT!

Sounds great but a little pricy.

Comments about Roland PM-10 V-Drum Speaker System:

If you are looking to amplify your v drums at home or at a small jam session with friends this does the trick. Sounds are clear and crisp just like it sounds with headphones. Has enough bass also to sound like a real drum kit. I couldnt be happier with the sound. The price however is why I didnt give it a 5. But again even though its pricy it sure does sound good.

        Nice Drum speaker

        By Anonymous

        from Undisclosed

Comments about Roland PM-10 V-Drum Speaker System:

If you can't afford a nive PA system and just want a good home use speaker, this thing works pretty nicely. I used it just for an electronic drumset originally, but found out that acoustic/electric guitars, and voice sounded good out of this thing too, when routed into one line with a mixer. A little on the expensive side for a small speaker, but it has worked rahter well so far for the two months I've had it (use it everyday). Wouldn't suggest trying to get a good distortion guitar sound out of it, just stick with acoustics, mics, and the drums.
