Improved response in a smaller unit.

The Roland RT-10S dual snare drum trigger is ultra-sensitive and about 10% smaller than its predecessor. Supports separate head/rim dual triggering. Easier to position and more discrete. Features the latest trigger-sensing technology for improved response. Easily attaches to either triple-flanged or die-cast acoustic tom hoops. Can be used with mesh heads as well as regular acoustic drumheads.

Add RT-10T Acoustic Tom Triggers and the RT-10K Kick Trigger (sold separately and shown in the box of recommended products) to the RT-10S and trigger your whole set.

Don't play too fast

Comments about Roland RT-10S Dual Snare Trigger:

The trigger works great in basic function, but when you reach speeds excess of 115 while using the "blast" beat it begins to pick up a little more thatn every-other-hit. This is odd because it picks up rolls and double and triple strokes just fine. it's a good buy if you aren't playing extreme metal.

I Love it!

Comments about Roland RT-10S Dual Snare Trigger:

I've only been using Roland kick triggers and snare triggers for about 2 weeks now but I have fallen in love with the power that these things bring to my drumset. I know other guys complain they don't trigger correctly but I have had nothing but ease of use from step one. I am using a TD-9 brain and it only took a few minutes to get up and running and a little playing to fine tune. I recommend this as well as the kick trigger especially...

Not very good

Comments about Roland RT-10S Dual Snare Trigger:

While the trigger does basically function, it doesn't work very well for me at all. I use a Roland TD20 module, and I have tried many settings, including talking with Roland support, but I cannot get this trigger to function well. For me, it only picks up hits well within around 4" of the trigger. Hits in the center of the head are barely detected. Also, the clamp to set the adjustable tension, for how hard is presses against the head broke very easy. I didn't use much pressure at all to tighten it. I had to rig a solution in place to hold the tension properly. The rim hits don't really work well for me either.

Piece of garbage...

By SteveO

Comments about Roland RT-10S Dual Snare Trigger:

Horrible trigger. The head trigger works until you start using some speed and power in your strikes--then it begins to miss triggering almost every other strike (I'm not talking about beating the thing to death...let's just describe it as 'anything above medium power'). The rim trigger is virtually useless--only soft touches register correctly. Adjusting the cross talk and threshold is no good as you have to set them so freakishly out there that the head triggering fails to work correctly. I've tried this with two different mesh heads, and it failed both miserably. And yes, I followed the instructions. I can only hope that mine is just a faulty product, but I'd suggest looking elsewhere.

Roland RT-10S Dual Snare Trigger

By Will of MALEC

Comments about Roland RT-10S Dual Snare Trigger:

Works very well, even on mesh drum heads (I use the Pearl mesh heads). Rim trigger is even better than my PD-120 for triggering. Very happy.
