This set is amazing, my friend owns it and every chance i get, i play it. The effects sound great, but the drum heads are what really makes it amazing. If you have enough money to buy this piece of heavenly equipment you should buy it!!!
Let's get the bad stuf out of the way, the price is the only thing that bothers me about this kit. It's just a little too high. As for the rest... I mean WOW!!!!The sounds, the feel, the expressiveness... It's almost too good!Plus there is no complaints from the neighbours about the noise and the sound possibilities are endless; not to mention how easy they are to record. You'll hear some people say the hardware, namely the rack, is not sturdy. Some early production models had been painted improperly which made some parts slide out of place. This issue has long been resolved and I have never had an issue with any of the harware. Of course that does not mean that nothing will ever break but it is top notch. If you can afford it... just go for it... you will not regret it!
I have only been playing for 3 1/2 years, but my church owns this set and I have played on it many times. It is just a great set. Everything is great. Only bad thing I would say about this set, is the high-hat feels heavy and I dont like the feel. But then again, I have never played a electric set that had a good High-hat. Great set though.
i have been a drummer for about 11 years now iand i have played this particular set of drums quiet a few times and could not be more impressed. They do have a realistic feel to them but are very pricey. overall the best electronic set of drums i have ever played. if you can handle the price buy them.
I love these drums. I paid the extra money because I wanted to play drums that felt as much like the real thing as possible. They sound so good that my band won't let me use my acoustic kit any more. We use these drums through head-sets and a mixer board to practice. They are also good through a speaker in small clubs because we control the volume to appropriate levels. The Sounds and mix options can't be beat. I tried a couple of the other kits and they didn't come close in the cymbal and mixer board areas. They cost more than the others, but you are paying for the Roland experience.
I have owned these drums for three years. I love the sounds & love the feel of the drumming experience. But, the hardware that comes with this set is horribly designed. I have continued to have countless troubles with the drum rack. Poor design is ultimately the issue. I'm looking now into substituting with the Yamaha rack because it is more sturdy.
I'm a drummer from Michigan and let me first just say that this is the most realilstic electric drum set I have ever played. The ONLY problem with it is that it's quite pricey. But if your not on a tight budget, then this one can't be beat.
