Comments about Roland TD-9K2 V-Tour Electronic Drum Kit:

I'm used to using an acoustic kit and have never been much of an electric kit fan. But due to the fact acoustic drums are really loud and I need to practice, I decided to give electronic drums a try, for practice anyway.
I read a bunch of reviews and decided to go with the Simmons SD7PK kit . I've always heard Roland was the best, but the Simmons got such good reviews, I figured why not save some money.......WRONG!! I had snare drum trigger issuers and Musicians Friend was happy to exchange them. I asked if I could upgrade to the Roland kit. They said no problem. I should have just gotten the Roland right from the get go, but now I know first hand how much better the Rolands really are. Yes, they cost more, but everything is SO MUCH higher quality!! No trigger problems, and the pads and cymbals are so responsive and more realistic, its like comparing apple's and oranges!! Save up and get the Rolands!!

Comments about Roland TD-9K2 V-Tour Electronic Drum Kit:

These are great drums. I have been a guitar player for around 10 years and can finally begin to build my home studio. These are the perfect accompaniment for my musical goals.

Very realistic sounds when plugged into a proper PA or headphones. Great response and SO versatile!

Comments about Roland TD-9K2 V-Tour Electronic Drum Kit:

Ok, i really love this drumset and the features it has. I decided this one over a Yamaha DTX560K which has similar capabilities but the yamaha was more expensive and had way less features. The drum set looks very nice, is well made and sounds absolutely wonderful, it has a lot of capabilities and now I can play with my band using headphones through a behringer powerplay pro-xl which by the way sounds fantastic!. Yes... no more cops knocking at my door asking to lower the volume... no more nasty, bitter neighborgs looking at me weird when I go to work every morning...hehehe. Thank you Roland for such a great product and value. Only thing and I have to be honest with this... Even if the sounds are nice an realistic over the headphones and/or a PA system, it will never much my pearl vision VBX 100% birch acoustic drums... but we are comparing onions and potatoes here... For an electronic drums look no further, this is it! The feeling of a way more expensive sounding electronic drums at a lower price... Good luck!
