these are great sounding cymbals. they are bright and loud. i would recomend these cymbals for anything from rock to metal. the only thing is that these cymbals are a little on the thin side. i play really hard on my cymbals and cracked the 18" crash a little under 2 years, but sabian replaced it for me no charge. i am very happy with these cymbals and sabian as a company. i recommend these.

These cymbals are a great addition! Both crashes cut through the loudest stage settings and the splash cymbal is great for accents. The crash cymbals offer explosiveness with good sustain, especially from the 18 inch. The bells have a very bright sound to them and can be used in ride situations. A great value not only because of the sound quality but also they are very durable.

This splash not only sounds great, but it can be used for any type of music.I started up my Metal-x series cymbals a while back and i got this about 3-4 months ago.I'm more of a metal drummer but I also drum punk, classic, and any type of rock music or country and for how hard I hit this cymbal it has held up good.I'm sure it will crack in 7 months or so, but its well worth it.For how long this cymbal will last, get it.

I just purchased this product and received the cymbals today. At first, I was a tad bit skeptical about buying them. They were replacing a cracked 16 and cracked 18 inch AA medium crashes. The reason I chose these is that I still wanted the vintage sound that AA gives, but also needed something a little bit more durable. Nevertheless, I decided that since this package was such a great deal, why not? After playing with them today, the only noticeble difference is that these cymbals are slightt darker than the Medium AA's. Some people have mentioned a "tinny" sound to the cymbals. The only time I noticed it was riding the crash at the bow and it was slight. Nothing that would suggest that these cymbals are subpar. As far as the splash goes, I've heard better, but still the splash doesn't "sound" subpar. Overall, I am very pleased with this product. I was still able to have that vintage sound and am very pleased with the darkness to them.

These cymbals are okay, the 16" es too high pitched and the bell's even more, 18" is okay but you get a "tinny" sound from them which I didn't expect.  The splash is pretty good.  Overall they are okay but go for the AAXs if you can afford them they are so much better. If not well these are okay, loud, idk how they'll work for recording tho but for gigs they are ok.  And since they are designed for hard hitters they will last you quite a while I suppose.
