Comments about Sabian AAX Limited Edition Cymbal Pack:
I have played Paiste and Zildjian for many years. I was talked into this set by a pretty experienced drummer who has been playing for a long time. I prefer these much more than the others. I do like the Zildjian K series, but these are quite a bit cheaper line as the K's are comparable to the HHX's. These are great for Rock or Metal, but I could easily see a Jazz or Blues drummer using these in larger venues where some volume is needed. They have great attack and decay, they are definitely explosive. I like the brighter tones for a lot of fast playing where darker tones I like to have as accent. I do have the 21" Stage ride where this pack has the 20". Also, I liked the Xplosion hats much better than the stage, but I could see the stage hats being more useful in a situation with not mics and seem like they will take more abuse. The AAX darks are great add on pieces to this pack. Amazed by the sound.

Comments about Sabian AAX Limited Edition Cymbal Pack:
I love these things! Been using this very same cymbal set for about five years now.
They look almost new when you give em a nice shining and they maintain their shine even when dirty.
the logos are long gone, but that can be fixed
These cymbals are very versatile.
Great value, top quality.
BUY THESE THINGS!

Comments about Sabian AAX Limited Edition Cymbal Pack:
Pros and Cons:Pros:16" and 18" xplosion Crashes are amazing! Big attack, Bright and responsive, medium decay, very loud yet musical in tone...could not be more impressed! Cons: None. Pros:14" Stage Hats sound very good in a small room while practicing...good stick definition and "chick" when ya slap them together. Good open and partially open shimmer while joggin' on the double kick. Cons: weak sounding in larger rooms with not much cut against a Marshall tube half stack. Top "hat" is a little thin. For Stage, I would recommend the xcellerator hats, but these work OK for rehearsal/practice or small venue. 20" Stage ride: Pros: Nice, bright ride with decent stick definition, good bell, good crashability and tonal balance. Cons: A little too much wash and the decay is a little too legnthy for my taste but all in all, it's a good, balanced ride. I would rate this cymbal pack as an 8.75 out of 10.
Pros

Comments about Sabian AAX Limited Edition Cymbal Pack:
I like these cymbals a lot. They are fantastic for all the things I play although there sound might not be traditionally used in the styles I normally play.
Crashes are bright and cut right through. The ride is phenomenal.
Comments about Sabian AAX Limited Edition Cymbal Pack:
This is the 2nd set I've purchased from MF, for use on my home kit. I use all AAX & AA on my touring kit and they perform flawlessly in all situations. Studio or live they shine through beautifully. At first I was a little disappointed with the ride because it bell didn't have that "ping" sound I was looking for. But after spending some time with it and listening back to it, it has definitely grown on me. I am forever getting comments and feedback from audiences, but the best comment I've gotten on these cymbals is from a drummer who said "That's the sound of money!"... you can't beat that. Great value, great cymbals. You'll love em!!
Comments about Sabian AAX Limited Edition Cymbal Pack:
I absolutely love these cymbals. I have had them for a year and they sound awesome. These cymbals are bright and focused. I brought them to basketball game for pep band and they cut right through the band. For some reason my 18" and the14" rebate didn't have any wash on either side of the bells. Hats are nice and crisp, except my stand stinks. All of the crashes sound nice when hit together. The ride sings when you hit it. It has more sound than the Zildjan 22" K-Custom Dark Ride my school has. Great cymbals for any style.
Comments about Sabian AAX Limited Edition Cymbal Pack:
Best cymbals I've ever owned, or played on! I purchased my performance pack 2 years ago, have recorded and been playing live with the same cymbals since then... they still to this day sound awesome (although I do clean them every so often)...
Comments about Sabian AAX Limited Edition Cymbal Pack:
This set is AMAZING!! After all the research i done this is the set for the quality and price. The crash's are so explosive and loud, yet good, they'll cut through anything. The 18" is one of my personal favorite, its very loud and balanced. The 16" has a lot of attack to it for its size. Althought i still prefer the 17" then the 16" it is still amazing. The 20" ride is alos one of my personal favorites, its more likely a crash-ride but a good crash ride though. It has a smaller bell but it still cuts through and the crashing part of it is amazing, 2 in one cymbal lol. For the hi hats, its good, very loud and has a nice chick sound to it. This set is a very good set, i give it a 5/5. You just can't beat Sabian quality and the price on this set is amazing good, not to expensive to leave you broke well maybe if your on a budget. But at least you will have very good cymbals. AAX is the top of the line cymbals, i would stick to this brand for a very, very long time. Get them quick before their out!!!
Comments about Sabian AAX Limited Edition Cymbal Pack:
I was worried about playing these in low volume situations until I used them live. I just use a jazz stick or 5A on them and it does just what it says on the website. Hit at low volume it still sounds like a crash instead of a drummer trying to play a cymbal quietly. The 16 inch still opens up when crashed with an index finger. I use to use Zildjian and I use to hate Sabian. Not Anymore.
