I have recently purchased this set of cymbals and was astounded at the quality of the sounds that they make.Definitely a good buy.The ride however, does have a tendency to ring for ages with a massive sustain.but overall - great cymbals!
Overall, these are great quality cymbals. The hi hats have an nice crisp tone while not sounding overly bright or thin. The crash is one of the best sounding 16" crashes I've ever heard. The only one I'm not happy with is the ride. If you like a ride that is bright sounding and rings out for a long time, then this is for you. I like darker sounding rides that have little ring and overtone EX = Zildjian A Custom Medium Ride. The hi hats and crash are excellent though.
I have bought this cymbal set for about 3 months. It is a great buy. No crack, breaks, no problems. It might be a little pricey, but comepletely worth it. This set is more towards metal, rock and harder music. Sounds good with jazz and funk but a little overpowering.
I have been a drummer since 1967, I have owned hundreds of cymbals, I play rock, alt, grunge, country rock, metal, funk, jazz, and you can use these without worry, the wide use of these cymbals makes them a choice of many of todays drummers.
Ive played almost every brand of cymbals out there and I can asure that none comes nearly close to quality of sound and consistence achieved by Sabian from cymbal to cymbal, every time. I love this set cause suits any genre, Ive played from light jazz to hard stuff and these cymbals find their tone and volume always!... I dont find useful any crap of people talkin about how Zildjians are pretty cool and kick the crap out of Sabians, Id rather go to Zildjian reviews to read that, dont you think?... But if youre looking for a nice sounding set with lots of shimmering and playability, go for these! Hands down best set around!
i've had these cymbals for 2 years and am thankful that i invested in them every time they're played. great versatility and playability. always get good comments about them; highly recommended for any style. go for em!
I have been playing for over 30 years, I own this set plus, 17 inch and 18 crashes, and 10 inchsplash. They are so pure and shimmering, crisp and very projective. When they say tap it with your finger or hit it with a stick. They are right. If you can skip the rest and just buy them.
This is a great pack I would recommend this pack from Pros to just starting out. Great sound. I just love the ride.
Cymbals are quite amazing for their response. I've used them for recording and they have a wonderful sound. 16" Crash is not the best at high volume but has a nice sustain. Ride and Hi Hats are beautiful sounding with quick decay. Be careful with the brilliant finish, fingerprints show up from the slightest touches and are hard to remove without cleaner.
I have owned these cymbals for about a year now. I have been very satisfied with these. They sound great. Hi-hats are veary clean. The Crash cymbal sound like glass breaking. Great sound ride. These are realitively lighter cymbals and don't require force to get them to project. Great for playing Rock type of music.
