Well, I just got these as a Christmas gift. I am very happy with them. I couldn't ask for a better deal!!! All of the cymbals sound good except I am not thrilled with the ride. It seems to ring at least 10 seconds, so I just threw some zildjian cymbal dampners on it, and its fine. I definitely recommend this set for anyone, beginner to intermediate. Even if these cymbals are "thin" cymbals, like the thin crashes, they are still a little thick for my taste. Overall, get them because its worth the money.
I have the 13" hihats, 18" crashride, and a 14" crash made by the Sabian B8 Brand. I can say I somewhat like these cymbals. I really like the 14" crash, it is bright and penetrating. I really enjoy that one and will keep it for a long while. The hi hats however, are TOO bright and aren't the best sounding. They are great for the price, but I'd prefer paiste's hi hats. And the 18" crashride is horrible (to my opinion) The ride is not pingy or good soundign at all and the bell is absolute crap!I would however reccomend the 14" crash. But for now on I will stick with he paiste line of cymbals.
These cymbals are great for adding to your kit. I only had four cymbals for my set and wanted more. These are great because they are cheap, and sound great. If you want the most cymbals for your buck, and if you want them to NOT sound like tinfoil, GET EM. I definitely will soon.
These cymbals are great for the price, they do break easier than most cymbals, but it's not to hard to replace them. If someone decides to get these cymbals then I suggest getting an extended warranty. All and all these cymbals are great for people who don't want to spend a whole lot.
I used these B8 cymbals a while ago and I have to admit they sound really good. They have a nice brilliant sound, hi-hats wern't that great but overall I'd say there amazing.
Listen, if you don't know what cymbals to start with and maintain quality sound, you cannot beat this cymbal pack!! Start with this! You cannot go wrong!
My school has a drum with some sabian B8's on it. When I first sat behind the set I wasn't expecting much from the cymbals, but I was extremely surprised when I started playing. They looked a bit trashy, but that's only because they have taken some beatings, but they sounded fine, not like a pair of $600 cymbals but you know what I mean. I would definately recomend this cymbal set to anyone looking for afordable and extremely decent cymbals that hold up for a while.
I recently replaced my crap cymbals that my set came with with these and wow what a difference. These cymbals are by far the best for your money if you are a beginner. The quality of these are very nice compared to other low end cymbals. These will hold their own with some of the better cymbals on the market. I have played zildjian zxt and these are much brighter and have a better attack. The hi-hats arent the best but at least 1000X better than wat I had. If you are lookin for a good starter set or even an intermediat set get these best for the money and will last you for a while. Dont second guess get them.
these cymbals are great. i have almost nothing to complain about except that the hi-hats dont sound the best. but as for the rest of the cymbals, theyre amazing. i got a different package, that came with 14, 16 18 crashes 14 hi hats and a 20 ride, all b8's and i love them. the crashes arent the most trashy on the market, but they sound great.
I bought these cymbals a few months ago at a guitar store, and they are great. The hi-hats sound awesome, my only complaint is that they dont sound the best closed. The Ride is really nice too, but for those who crash rides, like for crash time, It's a little too high pitched for that. But it rides Great, and the bell sounds great. If you hit it in just the right spot, you can get this really nice loud sound. Its great. The crashes were alright, i wish they werent thin crashes though. They are all high pitched, and dont have a lot of sustain, but other than that, they sound really good. The splash, is, well, a splash. It sounds good, just like a splash should. I Havent had any dents or cracks or anything yet, and i hit pretty hard... So these are good cymbals, buy em', You're getting a great deal.E-mail me if you have any questions.I Always enjoy a conversation about drums, with someone who actually knows what they're talking about at least half the time, so if you do too, then e-mail me.
