Comments about Sabian B8 First Cymbal Pack:

I got this pack and they suck so bad.whenever my friends come over I would play they say that my drums and playing were great but my cymbals were way to high pitched. And I agree. They hurt my ears.If u are a good drummer dont get them.I am springing for xs20 sabians.

Comments about Sabian B8 First Cymbal Pack:

i got these cymbals with my first drumset. they sounded good back then, but now compared to my cast bronze cymbals, they sound horrible. the crash isnt loud enough, and the hats sound to dull. its good for a beginner, but if you have money, dont waste it on this

Wonderful for Beginners

Comments about Sabian B8 First Cymbal Pack:

When I purchased my first drumset 7 or so years ago, I picked up this cymbal set to go along with it. I was inexperienced, meaning I had no idea what was good, or that "you get what you pay for."7 years later I am still surprised how well the 13" high hats are holding up. They are so dirty you can hardly read the logo on top, and they've got this brownish, greenish, algae sort of look going on.For the first five or so years I really didnt like the sound of them, but as time slowly passed, these hats have become much more "cast" sounding, not like your typical sheet cymbal. While they sound great, they aren't very bright anymore, and I will be upgrading to a Pro-Level set of hats soon like the Paragons, which sound amazing. The crash (mine came with a 17"), was not as solidly built, it cracked after about 4 years of playing, and never really sounded great. Please don't think that I don't know what I am saying because I am praising B8s. These are extremely good, durable, and affordable cymbals for the beggining drummer. If you are an experienced drummer, you probably will dislike these cymbals, so go for the AA series, or, like me, the Paragons.

No go

Comments about Sabian B8 First Cymbal Pack:

For the very beginning drummer, I'm talking like just bought a drumset and dont know what a good cymbal sounds like; this set is OK. Once you move foreward in your drumming and figure out what sounds good, you'll find that the hi-hats sound about as good as 2 pot lids mashed together and the crash is sounds little different than a lid of a metal trash can. Only get these cymbals if they are your last resort.

Comments about Sabian B8 First Cymbal Pack:

These cymbals are great and theyre cheap! When I first got my 20" B8 ride it was decent looking. But when i got these, i was totally suprised. They are very bright and look great. The only thing bad is the whole B8 series has a bad loud after ring.
