The sabian B8 performance set is amazing! It comes with all the basic parts of a cymbal set-up you need, and for an amazing price. The 14" hats are really bright, with a good ring. The 16" crash is good, but not great. The 20" ride has a nice, bright sound to it, but the bell isn't too good. But for the money, this is BY FAR the best cymbal set out.
I got this set with the thin crash and it is amazing! The crash has a perfect bell and sounds good, works well as a ride too. The hats sound very good open and closed, only problem is that they are quiet when closed. The ride is OK. The bow is good, but the bell is not so good (the crash makes up for it though.) I would recommend this set to all beginners and even intermediates because I am positive you will not be disappointed
These cymbals are good for a beginner looking to build up a set, or for anyone looking for cymbals for a practice set. The crash has enough decay to quickly change dynamic levels, and the hats and crash sound great at every dynamic level. The ride is a runaway train with overtones that won't quit. It is horrible for jazz/blues playing....I've muted mine with tape occasionally. In a small room, don't even bother using the ride. Overall however, it is a good value and as low end cymbal packs go, it's hard to beat.....pun fully intended.
I had really wanted some more cymbals, so I ended up getting these. These cymbals are exelent for a bright sound. I would recomend them as a cymbal set for begginers and experts.
I see alot of higher end drummers complaining about the sounds on low end sets of cymbals and drums. Thats not fair, considering that they are not meant to be the best nor priced that way. The ride is good, the crash is alright, and the hats are good. Overall, they blow away the Zildjian zbt's, which are in a competing price range. overall you wont be disapointed with these. They are a great LOW END cymbal.
These cymbals are good for their value, but not a great sound. The crashes don't have much brightness to them, but have an OK sound overall. These hold up well under hard playing.
