Comments about Sabian B8 Pro Rock Crash Brilliant:

I wrote a review on this cymbal a couple years ago when i bought it, i got the 18", and it sounds amazing and it's great for the money, but it just cracked in 6 places last week, all at the same time. It still sounds pretty good, but i have a good feeling it wont last for long. So if you get this, don't expect it to last for more than a year or two, or get a protection plan...

I got these crashes to upgrade my old Meinl ones. They sound extremely nice for the price. Though the coating is not durable, it does not affect the sound.

Comments about Sabian B8 Pro Rock Crash Brilliant:

this is a great sounding cymbal, but it dosent match my Zildjian ZXT rock crash as much as i thought it would, its a little more heavy sounding . it almost sounds like a gong but, still sounds like a crash.

Comments about Sabian B8 Pro Rock Crash Brilliant:

I am still new at picking out drum equipment, and really don't know what each type of cymbal sounds like and was surprised with this ones sound. I love the sound it is different than my other crash, and really changes the feel of the groove.

      Spend a bit more...

Comments about Sabian B8 Pro Rock Crash Brilliant:

sound OK on initial hit but have nasty overtones. For a little bit more $$ go with the Xs20 Rock crashes. Xs20s are much better. Fine for practice but wont cut it for gigs while the Xs20s will. Don't spend your money on these and then want to upgrade later, go right for the Xs20s or even AAX.

      Great for tha price!!!

Comments about Sabian B8 Pro Rock Crash Brilliant:

I purchased the 18in rock crash and This cymbal is great for tha price! plenty loud! very thick, but very sensitive and its sustain isnt too long or too short, its just right. And this cymbal is plenty bright depending on how hard you hit it. I have hit it pretty hard and its never cracked. and ive had it for about 10 months. this cymbal also has a great bell! i highly recommend this cymbal to any musician!

Comments about Sabian B8 Pro Rock Crash Brilliant:

its a good entry level cymbal
I have the 18 in. Sounds pretty loud, almost gongy and a little washy sounding. The bell has a nice ping to it so i always used it as a secondary ride.
Pretty thick, held up to about 2 years of heavy playing then i upgraded. Its just sitting unused now, but could probably be played for another 2-3 years.
Decent cymbal for the price, but if your looking for an intermediate+ cymbal i would suggest saving up for something better.
