I got this set in 2005 and I've not had a problem with it in a year. The ride rings a while, yeah. The B8 crash is a bit high pitched, yeah. But that's what they are for, loud, heavy, rock music. They are made to be cutting cymbals. The hi hats sound great played open or closed. The AAXplosion is an amazing cymbal. I've had lots of people come up to me and say that that is probably the best cymbal they've ever heard. None of these cymbals have cracked for the year I've had them. If you do not hit them flatly, they do not crack. I've angled mine and they've put up to my abuse. A very good cymbal set for rock drummers.

I love the AAX crash it came with, but that's about it. For one thing, the B8 crash rings and buzzes, despite my best dampening efforts. The hats are average, but do make that "air-tight" sound. If you are a somewhat experienced drummer, you know what I am talking about. The ride is about average. It does resonate for a long time after you stop playing. It requires a hand to make it stop. Overall, I would buy the Zildjian ZBT 4 Rock Cymbal Pack, for the same price.

Not a bad set for an intermediate player

Pretty good cymbal set, with the AAX crash being the definite highlight of the package. If you are a beginner or an intermediate player, it is an affordable pack that will likely suit your needs, but if you are a pro, this set probably won't fulfill your want for a more refined sound. They are pretty solid though, but I couldn't really say that they are exceptional.

the axx it comes with sounds super good but the b8 crash is real load and rings forever. The Ride sounds different not like real bad though. the hi hats arent bad either. but that 15 inch is a good one so its up to you but i also own a 14 inch ziljian zbt crash it sounds pretty good much better than these. but uts not as durable(mines bent) So they are proBABly a better choice in the same price range.

Good cymbals been usin these kind of cymbals(Sabian B8) for almost nine years and they are really good but after about three years u should probably buy new ones because they sort of mold pretty easy but they still sound ok!!!!

I have played one all of these cymbals before, I have never much cared for sabain,(a custom/k zildjian/k custom is what iI prefer to play) but if I need a cheep set of cymbals, these will be the first I look at. I really like the AAXplotion crash, its got a good tone, and ring and what not to it, but like I said, I prefer Zildjian. great job Sabain!

Great Cymbals

By Anonymous

from Undisclosed

These Cymbals are excellent i'am a younger player and I assume I hit harder then more experienced players. These cymbals are very durable but I am afraid to hit the aax too hard for fear of bending it.They show stick marks very easily. Otherwise they are great and very inexpensive just the aax alone would cost more then this entire set. I highly recommend.

Ok lets start off with the good. The 15in AAXplosion crash has to be one of the best cymbals I have ever used. The high hats are pretty good not the best but will do. The ride is not the best it has a loud ping which I like but takes way way to long to die out. The 16in crash however sucks it lasts way to long and has a really annoying ring to it, it sounds like a telephone with an anoying ring. Oh and did I say that it comes with three sets. So you can just sell the two you dont need and buy a nice new zildjian crash. So I would say buy it if your on a budget if not get some zildjins there way better.

These cymbals really are perfect for the price. I purchased them a good 6 months ago, I've gone through skins, lots of sticks, and a pedal. But not one sign of bad usage has come from these cymbals. No dents, no marks, nothing. Still sounds full too. All in all, just perfect for the price, I highly recomend.

Sabian B8 Rock Pack

I bought this cymbal pack about 2 months ago and I am very disappointed in the quality of this product. The ride is washy and rings to long just for starters. The crash is to DAMN LOUD!!! and the hats sound horrible when open but when closed have that desired "chick" sound. I do not recommend this. The Zildjin ZBT set is a lot better sounding than this.
