Well I'm a budget drummer I am always looking for good Long Lasting products. I have a Tama Superstar SK which I bought a Zildjin ZBT cymbal pack for and I love it, but after about a year and a half the crash ride broke so I began looking for a new cymbal when I found this. I didnt want to break it so thats why I went for the rock cymbal this time and it is very think and sterdy so it should last a long time. But what I hate about it is you hasve to hit it so hard to get a loud sound out of it. Overall it sounds good when you smack the crap out of it, and it looks very nice. I think I will stick with Zildjan but i would say this is a good cymbal esecailly is you dont have 100's of dollars to throw around every other month.

I bought this cymbal thinking it would be pretty durable, and have an alright sound. I have the 20". The sound was a little better than I expected. Really loud and powerful. The only thing that dissapointed me was the quality. Well I guess you get what you pay for. I had this for about a month and a half before it cracked. It cracked after my second show using it. But because I use it as my main cymbal, I wouldn't be surprised. I'm a pretty heavy hitter during shows. If you like to thrash on your cymbals, I wouldn't recommend buying this cymbal.

Comments about Sabian B8 Series Rock Crash Cymbal:

I am very pleased with this cymbal. I have the 16 inch one and I use it as one of my 2 main crashes. The other is an 18 inch from a different Sabian B8 series. This is a great cymbal for LIVE and studio applications.

          GREAT looking and sounding cymbal!!!

Comments about Sabian B8 Series Rock Crash Cymbal:

This cymbal is amazing. Looks amazing, sounds amazing. You cannot go wrong with it. I love it!!
This is THE BEST cymbal you could buy. It looks good, it sounds good, and it maybe smells good. I haven't tested that out yet. Any way, you Cannot go wrong with the SABIAN B8 16'' rock crash.
This cymbal is good for heavy hitters (like me). Before I bought this one, I had a planet z crash. It cracked. Bad. So I replaced with the SABIAN B8 rock crash, and there is no comparison at all. This cymbal blows any other out of the water.

I own the 16 inch b8 sabian cymbal. In stead of waiting a couple days for it to sound how i wanted i only had to wait a couple minutes. i just got this yesterday too.

Throught my 13 years of life i have used many kinds of symbols(Zilbjian Avedis, and a couple others but Sabian is so far my favorite! When i turned 8, my dad bought me my first full drumset. To go with my set, my dad bought me a 16" Sabian B8 crash and a B8 ride and hi-hat. I've had this crash for five years and it still sounds new!

I use this one in my youth group and I must say, I'm impressed with the quality and sound of this cymbal. I got to church one day to a surprise 14 inch B8 rock crash. It sounds amazing when you ride it, too. I recommend it for all styles of drumming.

          B8's are alright

Comments about Sabian B8 Series Rock Crash Cymbal:

I use the B8 crashes as my practice set and I must say they sound pretty good. big sound and projection and blends well. actually used them in a medium sized venue where loud volume was an issue. these blended well with the sound of the band. pretty good for budget cymbals

i got the 18 on sale because it was used, it has a slight nick it it but i dont mind. the sound... i think sabian made these too thick cause you have to hit is super hard wit the fat end of your stick to get the response of a crash with it. its kinda like trying to crash a ride cymbal, it just doesnt want to. there is alot of overtones with it too,and doesnt project too much, isay go for the b8 thin crashes, they are much better, and acually crash! i think it would work better as a ride

I'm on my second b8 rock crash - i love these cymbals. they might not sound the most professional or what have you but it will last forever i promise you. i played my first one pretty hard and often and it lasted me more than a year before it cracked. bottom line - you can beat the crap out of this cymbal.

This thing sounds so epic I bought it used for real cheap. I did not expect such a professional sound from such a low-price cymbal.
