My fellow musicians, lets face it. "If you are considering the purchase of a cymbal over the Internet, (without listening to it first?) You purchase is probably being motivated by affordability, -rather then- precision, quality of sound, and accuracy of response. Am I right? If that is the case, Do yourself a favor, and listen to an old Dinosaur. Who has been working professionally as a Musician for over 45 years? I also have to consider PRICE FIRST!Moreover, I also have to depend on my fellow musicians to give a truthful, fair, and accurate review, especially when purchasing an item that is ?Non-Refundable!? Therefore, Here it goes.Believe me fellow percussionists, whether you are a professional, amateur, student, or novice beginner, you will agree, "This Cymbal is the best BANG for your BUCK!"It is crisp, clean. With great response, and can recognize the difference in your touch so precisely, it will lovingly respond in kind, when you affectionately, and gently make love to it with either brush, stick or mallet. Moreover, go ahead and hammer it when that is what is needed. IT CAN TAKE IT! Without losing any integrity of sound quality, or loss of tonal response, or definition.*I hope my honest review helps guide you in making your decision. Remember that; I am also a working musician. I also depend on your honesty and professionalism as well. We are a very special club. Whether you are professional, student, or superstar, we all have one thing in common, a humbling love of music, and the brilliant talent of those giants whom came before us, and guide our paths, and influence our sounds and direction. To my Bothers, and Sisters in PercussionI am yours truly Paroland (Pete)Miami Beach, Florida

Until you compare it to other rides. Before I got this about 6 Months ago all I had was a B8 Crash/Ride (which I DO NOT reccomend). I needed a ride so I picked this up. For $100 dollars I was very happy for about 4 months. Then I realized all the little flaws on this ride added up. The long sustain, horrible wash and other un-satisfactory things that made me hate the ride. I then realized that I needed a higher end ride to get a really crisp, clean sound. I saved up and sold this ride to get the Sabian AA Raw Bell Dry Ride (which is the greatest ever!). All in all, its good for a small price, but dont expect to be using it for long.

      Good entry level ride

      By Robert Caddy

Comments about Sabian B8 Series Rock Ride Cymbal:

Good entry level ride. It has pretty strong overtones but liberal application of gaffers tape will minize this. A decent sized and pretty good sounding bell but not really crashable. Overall its a good entry level cymbal but if you can buy Xs20's. If the Xs20's are to expesive then go with ZBT's

      Pretty good ride for bigginers!

      By Adam Jenson

Comments about Sabian B8 Series Rock Ride Cymbal:

This ride is well worth the money. It is extremely strong! I have snapped sticks on this thing and it hasn't even dented. It rings VERY long, but you can put some tape on the bottom to fix that problem. I WOULD recommend this cymbal!!!

      here it is, straight up.

Comments about Sabian B8 Series Rock Ride Cymbal:

Ive owned this ride for about 5 years now. Now if you are looking for the epitome of METAL RIDES with a bell to die for look no further. In modern music people don't use rides traditionally using the tip, they crash them with the shank of the stick. This is not how its to be used. You play this ride traditionally. It is quite low in volume but when mic'd who cares. This is for a ride player. Price does not matter on this one. I have all aax and hh on other than this b8 and it is the best purchase out of the whole lot. I will never part from it.

      Pretty Great

Comments about Sabian B8 Series Rock Ride Cymbal:

This is a darn good cymbal for the price. It does ring quite a bit, but it is really easy to cover up, even with your own drumming, you can't even hear it. I bought it and I am vary pleased.

Comments about Sabian B8 Series Rock Ride Cymbal:

man, this thing sounds terrible. if anything you could use it as an effects cymbal but definately not to ride. it's too thick, and it rings for ever. just dead, completely dead.
