This 12" B8 Splash was exactly what I wanted. It provides the perfect transition from my 8" Splash to my 14" Thin Crash - all Sabian B8 series. It's too trashy to be a proper Crash, and too big to be a traditional Splash. It has that quick cutting quality, and then it's gone. Say what you want about the B8 series, but I like the thin stuff for that very reason. If you don't hit like you're trying to hammer it into a new shape, you won't.

I have owned the 6" cymbal for a many months now. I have it placed over my snare so I can hit it while doing fills(very fun). It wasn't very special in the beginning, but I think I beat the sound into it, or just got use to it. It sounds better now even though there is two dents on the edges. It would be a very long lasting cymbal if I haven't been beating and abusing so much. The initial spike of the sound of it sounds pretty good, but the reason why I rated this cymbal low is because the after-tone isn't that good. If you're on a tight budget, I would recommend this; but if you're not on a tight budget, get Zildjian A Custom.

Comments about Sabian B8 Series Splash Cymbal:
Overall this Cymbal is really Great Its good looking splashy sounding and easy to polish Great for the price.
This Cymbal looks as good as it plays it has got a nice finish on it its a great buy I bought the 10in Cymbal and it sounds amazing it is really splashy and not trashy fast decay and a really crisp sound but i wouldn't hit it very hard because like all cymbals it can dent but you dont need to hit it hard because it is pretty loud anyway. I would recommend this to every one and its a really good price. Great Buy.
It looks really Good and if you get drum stick marks on it they polish out really easily.

Comments about Sabian B8 Series Splash Cymbal:
overall, a great little cymbal, and a terrific addition to my set. will withstand a lot, besides slight denting. you can buy this cymbal without regrets.
i was very surprised to take this cymbal out of the bag. i was skeptic as well, because usually people give the B8 sabian cymbals a bad rep. i own the 8 inch. this little cymbal cuts through evey other cymbal in my set. i also did some expirimenting with this cymbal. i turned it upside down on my 16 inch crash, and it sounds extremely brighter, and louder. it sounds like an 8 inch AA chinese. although the downside to this is that it dents very easily. but all in all a great splash for the price.
this cymbal tends to get dents, but your going to get that with most small/thin cymbals. its only about 45 bucks, not going to complain.
this, is well worth the price it is. you absolutly get what you pay for. great value for a b8 series
Comments about Sabian B8 Series Splash Cymbal:
I've had this splash (10 in) for about 8 months now. The more i play it, the better it sounds. It's loud enough to where when I record my drum videos (I don't use microphones) you can hear it really well. For the price, it's nothing compared to a Zildjian K or A. But if you want a good splash that isn't extremely expensive. This is the right one.
Comments about Sabian B8 Series Splash Cymbal:
I owned the 8" for about a week when it started to form dents in it from my sticks, don't waste your money on this
Comments about Sabian B8 Series Splash Cymbal:
Ok so i own the 10" and 8" splash and they both have worked well for me in the style of music i play. I knew Sabian is a good quality cymbal and thats what most of my cymbals are. I recommend these to anyone who want a good sounding splash and not feel like they have over-payed for them. I see alot of negative reviews on these splashes and really either you just got a hearing problem or your not experienced enough to know what a good sound is. So these are really good splashes with a bright sound and a wide range of dynamics.
Comments about Sabian B8 Series Splash Cymbal:
paid $50 for this splash, thinking itd go well with my other B8 cymbals, but i was disappointed. my 12 inch sabian Solar sounds better than this
Comments about Sabian B8 Series Splash Cymbal:
its horrible. its a quick raw sound. and it is just a complete waste of money. i got the 8". maybe a bigger one would sound better but i'd choose something else to spend $50 bucks on.
Comments about Sabian B8 Series Splash Cymbal:
i owned the 10" splash and it was so awful to listen to that i threw it across my garage, beat it with a hammer, and melted it in a fire. I do NOT recommend this cymbal
Comments about Sabian B8 Series Splash Cymbal:
i have had my 8" for about 10 years now and it just now cracked around the bell the other day, ill have to replace it soon! but it has been in my main line up for ten years and has with stood heavy hitting for all of it. i recommend this splash to anyone
