I just got these as a gift (an expensive one, the kinds of gifts I like) and they are AWESOME. They have dark overtones, AND a bright overtone, if you listen. Excellent chick sound, and if you have them really close, even when open, they sound awesome, for whatever you play. WARNING: If you have trashy cymbals, this one sounds out of place. So go buy this, and a buch of other expensive cymbals!

After a few years of looking through all of sabians hats I picked these out. They are dark, trashy(not too trashy), and colorful. A perfect fit if the name STEVE JORDAN means anything to you(I know he uses Paiste but these get the job done) I also recomend the Groove Ride with these, for when your feeling extra funky!

Wow, what a versatile pair of hi-hats. Grooving to some jazz or straight up rockin out, these hi-hats accept any challenge. Loud, yet cutting, crisp sounding hats along with a great 'chick' when you keep the hats closed tight. I heard Daniel Adair from Nickelback use them constantly, studio and live and they sounded great, so I picked up a set and couldnt be happier ..

Well, I would have to say that these are the best sounding cymbal that I have ever played on. I was at my local drum store today and tried out every hi-hat they had in the store. I had taken back a pair of HH Fusion Hats because I didn't like the metallic sound, and ended up getting a pair of these HHX Groove 14" Hats. These HHX Groove Hats have a very nice cutting sound to them. The sizzle sound is amazing as well as the closed sound and partially open to fully open sound. I don't know of a better overall hi-hat out there. I couldn't find a better one at the store and don't think I will.I would definitely recommend these hats to anyone for any style of play.

These hats are perfect. I use these for rock shows, playing in the worship band at my church, and even in a jazz band I play in. I get compliments all the time about how good these things sound. Prior to me buying the 14' HHX Groove hi-hats, I had the 13' K/Z D/B hi-hats which I thought sounded good until I herd these=)

I've had this for about a month now. Prior to this, I've used medium PST5s, A custom mastersounds, K custom, Paiste sig & 2002 Heavy hats. This by far was the best of the lot. Amazing sound whether you're playing it closed, open or any area in between. Try it out at your local store!I have to say though that the 2002 would be my choice if money was an issue.

These hats have a gorgeous sound. Truly a groovy sound, whether closed, semi-open or fully open. Great tones, under- and over-, offers great pedal chick and choke. Awesome stick definition too, you can't lose!

These hats are perfect. I have many years behind the kit and play lots of different styles-these hats will sound AMAZING in any situation. I think the HHX line is a very strong contender with the paiste signature dark line. I am a Sabian and Paiste player for life. If you are up in the air about buying new hats-go for these, you will not be dissapointed. PERFECT 10!!!!!

My drum teacher use these hi-hats and they are amazing. Normally he complains about how all of his Sabians crack besides these. The chick sound is perfect, open sound perfect evrything about these hats are perfect!

I used to own 13" Zildjian K/Z Hi-Hats, and recently switched to these 13" Sabian Grove Hi-Hats. I like these much better, and think these have the best sound of anything I've tried. When played live, the partially open swishy sound has a great blend with both the electric guitars and my snare. Recorded, these sound as good as anything I hear commercially. I love 'em.
