      OVERVIEW

The Sabian Legacy Ride delivers an articulate, dark, trashy sound.

The light, crashable Sabian Legacy Ride Cymbal delivers stick definition, wash, and darkness with an unlathed 'control band' limiting tonal spread.

With its innovative "Tone Texture" sound, Legacy was created in collaboration with Dave Weckl, and joins the award-winning HHX Evolution as the legendary young drummer's choice of cymbal sound. Legacy is a deeper, darker contrast to the brighter sound of Evolution.

Weckl, who plays Legacy on their own or mixes them with Evolution models, said "Legacy is the darker side of my sound. These cymbals are vibrant, trashy and beautiful... all at once. 'Tone Texture' gives these cymbals a great deal of dark, musical color that encompasses the full tonal spectrum but digs way down deep, for a broader, more complex tonal personality. The Legacy Ride has great articulation over a dark cushion of sound.... The 'tone texture' of these cymbals makes Legacy a compelling consideration for any drummer looking for sounds that offer a new richness to their playing."

Legacy cymbals are individually handcrafted from Sabian B20 'cast' bronze. They are available exclusively in Natural Finish, and are quality-protected by a special Sabian 2-Year warranty.

      FEATURES

Traditional depth and color meet modern clarity and articulation.

Comments about Sabian Legacy Ride Cymbal:

Honestly, I cannot really describe the beauty of this cymbal. I bought this from a local drum shop. When I heard the crash the first time, I immediately knew it was for me. The crash is so perfect to my ear. The ride is so smoky and flavorful. It's really just a delicious cymbal. I use this, a 21" HHX Groove Ride, and a pair of 14" K Zildjian Hi Hats. It's all I need. There are many beautiful sounds in this one cymbal. Some one put a lot of love into making it.

Comments about Sabian Legacy Ride Cymbal:

This ride is very versatile as it's the perfect low-medium volume ride, loud volume crash ride and all around sweet dark crash. Kind of like a Sabian version of the Meinl sand ride to me. My favorite features are the clear bell with different sound options depending on how it's struck and the ability to crash the ride and then return to clear loud sticking. Mine was used and I can understand that it probably wasn't loud enough for whoever had it as a ride but the crash itself is so awesome I don't understand why they didn't use it for just that. I know I'll never sell mine. One awesome Dave Weckl innovation from Sabian. Good Job!

        Great Ride!!

        By

Comments about Sabian Legacy Ride Cymbal:

If you buy this ride, i promise you that you will not be dissapointed. It is EXACTLY what i've been looking for in a ride cymbal. I tried this at my local drum store, and it blew me away! Best ride ive ever played. If you have the money, buy this!
This ride is amazing. It has a nice, dark, trashy sound like the description says. Perfect for jazz, or quiet music. But it is also has the ability to get loud! It seems quite thin too. Which i like.
The quality is just amazing. Amazing ride overall!!
I gave it an 8 on value because even though this is an amazing ride, i think they could lower the price a little bit.

        Fantastic for low-medium volume settings

        By

        from Undisclosed

Comments about Sabian Legacy Ride Cymbal:

This ride is fantastic. It has a very dark, complex tone and an even spread. Sticking sound is defined and the tone is warm. It's incredible for everything from jazz to funk, and even lower volume rock. In higher volume applications, it can function as a hot, trashy crash-ride. If you can't get a good sound out of this ride, you're either using the wrong sticks or the wrong technique!

Comments about Sabian Legacy Ride Cymbal:

this ride is really nice. sounds amazing when u hit the side of it with your stick kinda like when u hit a crash, but when u ride on it like that, the way a lot of metal music does. but when u hit the regular part of the ride with the tip of the stick it does not sound very good. its like riding on a crash, way too washy. great for metal maybe but thats about it. may i recommend the AAX stage ride?
