      OVERVIEW

      Designed with the Rush drummer!

Medium weight, for fast, crisp responses and clean sticking.

Developed with Neil Peart of Rush, the Sabian Paragon series blends 2 styles of lathing for a very balanced hi-hat cymbal tone. Pinpoint lathing creates a narrower groove for a fast, lively response on the top, while the traditional AA lathing creates a wider groove for a fuller, richer tone on the bottom side.

Though Neil Peart is my favorite drummer, I am not one of those who buys cymbals just because his name is on them. I bought the 22" ride, and it is amazing. For crashes and splashes, I prefer a thinner cymbal, and I am sticking with my AA's. I own 14" Sabian Sizzle hats and 14" Paragon hats, and in my setup I play with the Paragon top, sizzle bottom (with the rivets removed). I have found that combo to have the best mix of stick definition, volume, sustain, and a nice "chick" when closed with my foot (which the 14" Paragons do not have when matched). With so many of the reviewers saying the 13" is better than the 14", I plan to buy the 13".

I bought the 13" paragon hats a while back because I got a great deal on them. I have them set up as secondary hi hats to my a customs. There's no comparison. The a customs are more musical, and sound far superior to my taste. With that said, the paragons are still decent cymbals for the right person. Someone who does hi hat playing along the lines of Stewart copleand would probably love these , but I don't play a whole lot on the hats and tend to really rely on my ride cymbals. Bottom line - not worth the money unless they really fit your playing style.

bought the 13" because of recommendations from reviews, they sound great but I will have to try a few more to totally say they " ROCK " supreme, Sabian are quality plus products and are pricey on these particular items, but you get what you pay for with Sabian

Comments about Sabian Neil Peart Paragon Hi-Hats:

I got these hats (14") right after the paragon line was released (maybe a couple of months or so... I use them for every show whether its blues, rock, punk, metal, etc. these hats cut through the mix, even after all of the smoky rooms and beer being thrown around.

              Amazing hi-hats

Comments about Sabian Neil Peart Paragon Hi-Hats:

I have the 13" hi-hats and they are absolutely awesome. They sound very crisp, clear, and bright and have great sizzle when played barely open. The bell also sounds great when played open. They are such a pleasure to play that when I sit down to play them I'm usually stuck there a couple of hours.

Comments about Sabian Neil Peart Paragon Hi-Hats:

Let me just start off by saying...HOLY CRAP! These are the best hats I've ever played. I'm a huge Neil Peart fan and I figured these would be awesome. I went to check them out, and they were everything I could have dreamed. They are of the finest quality and have a pure, crisp, "chick". In their price range I think their the best. I tryed out some Zildjian A custom hats, and they weren't as crisp as these. I own the 13 inch hats, which are the same ones Neil uses as his main. The high price may be a downer, but save your money. You won't regret it. These are the best.

I have owned these for almost a year now, they still sound as good as the day I got them, no signs of wear at all, the only thing about these is the price, I am 16, have no job, and had to work for like ten weeks just to get enough to buy them, but it was so worth it, before I had these, I had camber hats, which inverted when I stomped on that stuff. they have a great sound overall
