Recycling has never been this fun!

Sabian SR2 is a new concept in cymbals.

These cymbals are used, returned, or refurbished cymbals that Sabian receives back through inventory swaps, trades, exchanges. They are given their own unique surface look and logo and consist mainly of high-quality pre-played Sabian models, including those played by major Sabian artists, returned from consignments, reviewed in magazines, displayed at trade shows, or even cymbals that came through the production process with slight blemishes that ultimately disappear with the refinishing process.

Each cymbal must meet specific sound requirements before being considered for the SR2 line. Once those requirements are met, each cymbal is cleaned and then the new Sabian SR2 finish is applied.

The SR2 Thin Splash and others in the SR2 line have their own logo and a unique look, in order to clearly distinguish them from their first-run cymbal lines. Sabian believes it is very important for you to know exactly what you're getting when you buy an SR2 thin splash, so this cymbal has its own special identity to clearly identify it as a reconditioned cymbal.

All of the cymbals are cast B20 product, but there is no differentiation by series at all, so any cymbal could have started as an AA, AAX, HH, HHX, or Vault. The Sabian SR2s are designated only by size and weight.

The cymbals within SR2 are priced based on size only, rather than on the series they were before reconditioning. They are identified only by size and one of 3 weight categories. These cymbals are available to you at significantly less than a brand- new Sabian would cost, and will not be covered by any warranty through Sabian.

Note: Available supply of SR2s will depend entirely on the amount of cymbals that are available for reconditioning. They will be available on a first come-first served basis. Since they are refurbished, they will only be available as they are received. There is no warranty through Sabian on the SR2 Series, since the cymbals are considered used; however, these cymbals can be returned and exchanged through our normal 45-day return policy.

These cymbals are available on a first come-first served basis. Order now.

Comments about Sabian SR2 Thin Splash Cymbal:

I received this splash the other day,so I put it through the paces',so to speak. The finish is exactly as you see it in the picture. It looks' like they put this cymbal on a lathe and ran a flat file over it.The original tone grooves' are all but gone!
I would say this gives this "Splash" a somewhat "Flat"sound. It is "Bright" and has a "Splash sound",when hit and a moderately, fast decay.I compared it to a "Sabian Paragon" 10" splash and the Paragon has a nicer, high end, sparkle to it.The Paragon was lower in pitch and sounds' a lot like a "K.Zildjian"!I also compared this splash to a "Wuhan"10"splash and the "Wuhan"sounds'like an initial "sposh" with "Chow-Gong" overtones'.Every "Wuhan" that I've ever heard has this same sound and character!I would say that for the money, this Splash is not a bad deal. You are getting a B20,splash cymbal.I would say this one started out as an "AA Splash".I can't see any hammer marks on it,to indicate otherwise. For just a bit more, you can have a regular B20 splash, although this one is by no means' bad.I would say that it fits' in with rock type music, where you want a loud "splash" and "quick" decay, sound!I hope this is of help to you!

Comments about Sabian SR2 Thin Splash Cymbal:

this 10" thin splash sounds lower and deeper than my 10" crash..I had to do some switching around to fit it in where I could use it.
