OVERVIEW

The sound of silver.

The bright sound of the Sabian Vault Ride Cymbal --powered by silver in its B20 Bronze--slices through the music around it. From low volumes to loud, this ride explodes with power and sustain. Totally modern!

The Sabian Vault Crash introduced an innovative new concept in cymbal sound: "the sound of the silver slicing through the music." The popularity of that model and resultant consumer demand has led Sabian to introduce the Vault Ride. Combining a top featuring pinpoint lathing with a raw, unlathed bottom that focuses its response, this model not only offers the added value of the slicing power of silver in its sound, the Vault Ride delivers glassy, clean responses at every volume.

Sabian product specialist Lorenzo Wright says, "The Vault Ride is designed to maximize the cutting potential of the silver in its B20 bronze. To ensure that sound remains focused, clean and clear the bottom of the cymbal is left unlathed. This raw bottom tightens up the overall response, so the sound created by a stick hitting the top is crisp, clear and projected without the vibration of the cymbal creating too much wash and reducing that clarity. The Vault Ride may be a medium weight cymbal, but with this innovative design minimizing the wash, it remains totally effective, with the sound of the silver slicing through when played at even the loudest volumes."

The Vault Ride is the latest in the Vault Collection, which was introduced by Sabian in 2005. This collection, created to accommodate cymbals and sounds inspired by today's music and musicians also includes unique designs from the artisans in the Sabian Vault. Added Wright: "Many Sabian innovations don't fit into our other series, like AA and Hand Hammered, so Vault is where they will appear."

The Vault Artisan Ride was voted "#1 Outstanding Cymbal”2005" by editors of the world's leading music magazines. In addition to that MIPA award, Sabian was voted "Most Innovative Cymbal Company" by the readers of Modern Drummer magazine, the world's most widely read percussion publication.

Individually hand crafted from Sabian's pure B20 'cast' bronze, the Vault Ride is available exclusively in Brilliant Finish and quality-protected by Sabian's One-Year Warranty.

At any volume from low to loud, the Vault Ride delivers the goods. Order today.

Comments about Sabian Vault Ride Cymbal:

I played this at my local music store and it's awesome. You can hear the silver and this cymbal is crip. It'll work for all styles too! The ride looks and sounds awesome, so save up and buy this. I'm going to purchase this very soon.

Comments about Sabian Vault Ride Cymbal:

This is not a Dry ride at all. The Washy roar that it give (both when continuing to progressively hit it harder when riding or just crashing it) is extremely pleasant. It gives an awesome full sound. Works wonderfully with its 20" Crash Vault Brother, when hit right the these two cymbals give kinda a suspenseful sound (really good for passionate music.) however I would still get a good dry control ride to go with it. Then you'll have two awesome rides. One to get you wet, and then the other to dry you off!

Nice, versatile ride

Comments about Sabian Vault Ride Cymbal:

I tried it at the music store tonight. It seems to be about average in weight, but has the stick definition and ping of a heavier ride. Seems to be very versatile though, with a nice, loud bell sound. Definitely worth a look.

Comments about Sabian Vault Ride Cymbal:

I have owned this ride for a few months, replacing a terible Zildjian Planet Z ride. It sounds awesome! The stick definition is insanely clear and the sound it produces is of very high quality. It's definetely the kind of ride that can be played with any of music. I am in love and don't regret buying although it is expensive. Sabian puts this ride under the "Creative" category which doesn't seem to fit the name. It's a tight, versatile bright ride that doesn't really belong, in point of view, in the creative and kind of experimental section of the Sabian cymblas.

Great ride for a fair price

Comments about Sabian Vault Ride Cymbal:

I have owned the 20" version for a few months now and I have enjoyed it every single day. I also have a Zildjian A-Custom 20" ride and the Vault sounds slightly brighter than it which I like, but the big factor that makes me like this cymbal even more is the bell. The bell cuts through so much better than the bell on the A-Custom. It is also cheaper than the A-Custom which is quite a bargain. I have used this for styles from calm jazzy songs to heavy metal songs. I would recommend this ride to anyone.

Comments about Sabian Vault Ride Cymbal:

I bought this ride 2 years ago. What I like about this cymbal is that it is extremely clean and focused sounding, with a bright sounding "ting" with almost no wash. Unfortionately, you're better off trying to crash a brick; it sounds its best when simply riding the bow. It sounds great with my 16" and 19" Vault crashes.

Too Dry

Comments about Sabian Vault Ride Cymbal:

I bought this in Feb.2009 for my Seventies Rock band. The cymbal is high quality, but the sound is not suited for rock. The ride is too dry and while very very clear, it doesn't have the gusto to cut thru even when we practice at non-stage volume. The bell is not much good for anything due to low profile of design, not for bell-riders. I love the look and quality, but am trading this in for something with more wash and lively sound that also has a distinct bell to it.
