Comments about Sabian XS20 Brilliant Cymbal Set with Free 18" Medium-Thin Crash and 10" Splash:
These cymbals are plain amazing!!! The 16 and 18 inch crashes are really bright and focused and have a really pleasant wash to them. They feel really buttery and smooth when you lean into them! Now, the 14 inch crash is extremely bright! The sound is kind of in between a crash and a splash but is still a really good cymbal! The hi-hats are crisp when closed and have a really pleasant wash when opened. The ride is extremely nice! When played on the bow it is really crisp and light, but don't let it fool you! You can easily lean into this ride and it will give you an amazing full crash! You can actually see the wobble in the cymbal when you hit it! It reminds me a bit of the 21 inch AA Bash Ride (which one of my friends has). The bell of the ride is loud and cutting, but it doesn't hurt your ear when you play it. Now, the splash... I haven't really been able to play this cymbal mainly because I'm on a budget and I don't have enough stands, but the few times I have played it, it is actually a really quick and responsive cymbal that quickly washes away! You cant beat this set for the value!! I would totally recommend this to anyone that is looking for cymbals that are not so expensive but are still extremely good and have a good value. Enjoy!
