      Well made, versatile ride

Comments about Sabian Xs20 Medium Ride Cymbal:

Amazingly, this is one of the best rides I have ever tried out. Before this I was using an 18" Zildjian K ride. It was far too washy and I decided to upgrade to a standard 20" ride with a bit more accent. On a whim I tried out this cymbal at my local drum store and was instantly sold. This cymbal has the perfect balance between ping and wash. It has a defined, but not overbearing stick attack (I recommend using nylon tips with it). The bell is a bit small, which can make it hard to hit in the midst of a complex beat, but the sound cuts through just enough without standing out. This ride likely won't be perfect for everyone, but it fits the styles of indie, prog, and alternative rock perfectly. In addition, this cymbal sounds great if you ride on the edge or use it as a crash. Jazz players would want something woth more wash, while metal players would want more ping, but if you need a cymbal with a balanced sound in-between the two, this fits the bill. I urge you to try it out for yourself at a drum store.

      Sabian XS20 Ride

      By Kyle Adams

Comments about Sabian Xs20 Medium Ride Cymbal:

Good value, good cymbal, good for a drummer on a budget! At the end of the day, you won't regret this purchase.
I'd like to start by saying, the Sabian XS20 Ride is quite versatile! It's got a great ride, a decent crash, and the bell is phenomenal! For the price you pay, there isn't much to complain about. The cymbal does have a bit of overtone, which can be expected. If you're looking for a rock ride, you've found it. However, if you're looking for a crash/ride, I'd reccomend a Paiste PST5.
      Durable, loud, and cutting.
For this price, it simply cannot be beat. It's B20 Bronze!!

I own two crashes and this ride (all XS20) and they have never failed me. Very durable, versatile, and are good if you don't know exactly what sound you're looking for!

      B20 bronze made affordable

Comments about Sabian Xs20 Medium Ride Cymbal:

let me begin by saying I am only thirteen but I have played this ride for about a year nowthe bell has a very bright, clear sound to it which is not exactly desirable to me because it is not very practical in most situations.the bow is very smooth clear toned also and is crashable . overall the bow is very versatile. This ride is great for light rock and "modern rock" but can be used for other genres too (unfortunately other light-rock and "modern rock" are the two types of music I hardly ever play).

      Only cymbal i need.

Comments about Sabian Xs20 Medium Ride Cymbal:

Good crash, good ride.Pairs up nicely with an xs20 14" medium hats and a 18" rock crash on the left side (sometimes i borrow my friend's- entirely optional). If you want a dedicated ride, go with something thicker though. This thing suffices but its best aspect is the cost.

      Great Smooth Sound

Comments about Sabian Xs20 Medium Ride Cymbal:

This is probably one of the warmest, jazziest ride cymbals you can find for this kinda price. The sound you get out of this gorgeous thing for the price you pay is a deal that remains unbeaten. Works great in any environment, and adds a nice jazzy warm uniqueness to any drumset.

Comments about Sabian Xs20 Medium Ride Cymbal:

This is a pretty versitle ride. It's clean enough to ride on, but I love to get on this thing and crash/ride it. I love it's crash. It projects very well, and cuts through the mix. It also has a pretty nice although small bell. I love it; it's awesome!

      Pretty good...

      By yeppsssss

Comments about Sabian Xs20 Medium Ride Cymbal:

For the price, this is a pretty sweet rideThe bell is surprisingly good, cuts pretty well.washy stick tone, really great for kinda light jazz stuff, but also sounds fine in a rock environment. This ride also has a bit of crash-ability, not enough to be used as crash, but ok if you do a little bit of crashing along with riding. Certain things could be better, and there are better rides out there, but for this price, you will be hard pressed to find a more versatile cymbal. I have used this to play death metal, smooth jazz, hip hop, funk, and everything in between.

I got this ride about 2 months ago and it does great. The bell is a little small but it sounds good. Its great for pretty much any style and its not too pricey. so if you want a nice ride for not too much money, this is probably your best bet.
