Simply amazing!

By Anonymous

from Undisclosed

This splash symbal is simply amazing! When I first bought it, it looked attractive. Which was the main reason why I bought it. (Take in mind I was a bit "noobier" back then) and I don't regret it at all! It has a sweet sound to it, fast decay and can take a decent beating. Don't expect to hit it as hard as you can and for it to be extremely loud. If you use it right, it sounds great. The price is simply unspeakable as well, I bought it at a store and it costs a little bit more than if I would have bought it here, but it's really worth it.

a good cymbal for the money

I got this about a year-and-a-half-ago, and it sounded FANTASTIC! Please note that I had a set of Camber cymbals at the time, so I suppose most things would've sounded great. Anyway, I was really impressed by how bright this cymbal is and how good it sounds (assuming that you use it right, this is NOT a heavy metal-type cymbal). It is starting to crack, but I admit that I've hit it a little too hard and a little too often. However, this is a small, thin cymbal, and so I suppose I should've predicted that would happen. But overall, this an excellent cymbal and I highly recommend it to any drummer.

from Texas.

This is a great cymbal overall. Really pleased with it, but it's so thin. I'm a hard hitter and it doesn't show any signs of cracking, or anything really, but when I accidently hit it pretty hard it bent all the way inside out. The cymbal is great, but not if you're a hard hitter, and don't want this happending. Also, it's not very loud..If you're going for the best bang for your buck, go with the sabian AA Metal-X 10" splash.Way louder, thicker, and more crisp of a sound.

A great Splash for the money

The XS20 splashes may not be Sabian's best cymbals, but they are amazing for the price. They might be a little bit to dark and heavy sounding for some soft drummers, but for a rock drummer that wants a tight, punchy splash for some sweet effects, this a good by. The cymbal actually isn't thick at all but is durable.

This splash cymbal sounds as good if not better than most professional splash cymbals on the market for $+. It delievers absolute energy, with a crisp, clean sound that has about a 3 second sustain, and a great punchy bite once the stick whacks this little cymbal. It's an incredibly strong cymbal, as well! This is the kind of splash all the professional drummers out there should use, because I'm a hard hitter, and I've whacked this thing incredibly hard, and there is absolutely no cracking, denting, or any deformation.Add this to your array of cymbals. I guarantee you won't regret it.

Just as good as any AA splash

By Ultimat-Styx

When I went to buy splash for my kit, I asked about the Metal-X splash ro the AA splash. He said, "You want the XS20 splash" and gave it to me. Then I replied "Are you sure?" his response was "Definitely". I brought it home and have been playing it for a few months. It's amazing. So bright and cutting. It's just as good as any other AA/AAX splash. This might be my favourite splash ever. Just to test it, I pounded it very hard (harder than I ussually hit, though I am a hard-hitting metal player) and it wouldn't break. No crack or dent. Nothing. This splash is amazing!

Nice watery sound

Excellent addition to a drum set - nice punchy attack with quick decay - definitely able to compete with more expensive splashes. Also has a nice watery sound - it makes-a-me-thirsty!
