Incredibly priced with incredible features.
This Savage Snare Drum delivers a jaw-dropping value. It is a 10 lug, 5-1/2" x 14" chrome snare drum for an incredible price. It has an externally adjustable internal dampener for the batter head, which gives you control over unwanted frequencies. It also looks great with its chromed steel finish adorned with chrome lugs and hoops.

First of all, this drum did have some bad features. The internal muffler fell apart once, but it was very easy to fix. Some of the lugs feel like they are rusted when you try to tune it, but others feel like its a top quality thing. Anyway, I never tried any really good heads on this, but the best sound I got so far was a loud sound like a popcorn snare. Right now this is my secondary snare, until I get a new one. I would probably still use it for other things though. And for the price, its not so much of a waste...decide for yourself :)
At first i just orderd this snare because i have been playing with a 12" snare drum for 3 years as my main snare. I decided change was in order and baught this because it was really cheap. When i got it, i slapped a Coated Ambassador on top and a Evans Reso on the bottom. I tuned it up to a mid point between high and low and from hwta i have experienced so far, it sounds incredible for the price. I highly suggest picking this baby up.
I bought this snare at a yard sale for 60 bucks. It came with a Gibralter stand so thats why i bought it. It sounds okay but it isn't very good. It makes a great beginning snare, but nothing else.
