The SKB X-1 Trap Drum Hardware Case is a top-loader with removable lid and tray for storing bass pedal, sticks, and drum hardware. The tray mounts on top for playing and serves as a monitor stand. The Trap X-1 lid provides plenty of room to store your drum throne. Built-in industrial 4" wheels provide easy transport. Rear glides offer protection on stairs and tailgates. Interior straps secure gear. The lid handles are also strapping points for securing a cymbal vault on top.

I was tired of making too many trips with other cases/bags so I wanted something that would hold it all. I couldn't be happier. I have used it for about half a dozen shows so far and it is great. I was looking at the smaller version with the retractable handle but was concerned with the size, so I chose this one. It will hold everything unless you have a monster size kit. To give you an idea of what this holds: I've got 3 double braced cymbal stands, 2 double braced tom stands, hi hat stand, snare stand, drum throne, bass drum mic stand, floor tom legs, double bass pedal, 2 extra heads, stick bag, a bag of misc. parts, power strip, and 3 extension cords. The wheels roll nice on a hard flat surface and is easy to pull. Only downside is with all that gear in it, it is heavy. You need two people if you are lifting it up or down on anything. But that's the price you pay for a great piece of equipment. What other piece of drum equipment do you own that has a lifetime warranty? I wish everything was made this good.

Very rugged and offers good protection for gear. Cruise ship baggage handlers didn't damage anything (small miracle). One of the inside straps broke early on, but unit is still functional. Really needs an extended handle like it's little sister unit and it is a bit short so you have to break down the high hat stand to get it in the case - not earth shattering, but a pain at the end of a long night.

I bought three of these cases to use on a USO tour to Iraq and Kuwait. We used them to consolidate some of our smaller gear, cables, stands, etc. All of these cases held up fantastic. The tour was two years ago.. and I still use one of them to lug around cables and misc gear at our regular gigs. It is still in fantastic condition.. and very durable.There's lots of room.. and the design is very well thought out. SKB did a great job on this case. Oh.. and they offer a life time warranty.. so even if something did break.. they'll fix or replace it. 5 Stars..

I purchased this case about a year ago. It holds my entire touring setup and has room to spare. I currently have a Pearl DR-501 rack with one extension, 5 CH-1000 cymbal holders, 4 TH-1000S tom holders, an H-1000 Hi-Hat Stand, an S-1000 snare stand, a Demon Drive double pedal, and a gibraltar 9000 bike seat throne. I am on the road a lot and my gear has stayed safe. I like this case so much I'm getting another two to put my backup rig and practice kit in.

This thing gets pretty heavy but, still is pretty easy for one person to move around thanks to the wheels. I've had mine for about 7 years now, and it's a tank. It's got straps in it so everything in it stays in place even if you stand it up or it rolls over. It would take some real effort to damage it, so normal use, even constant touring for years wouldn't damage it.

Been a gigging drummer for 13 years and owned this badboy for the last 3 of them. I can't imagine gigging without it now and can't believe I waited so long to own it. It's worth every penny.In the main compartment I fit 4 boom cymbal stands, throne stand, snare stand, floor tom legs and my kick pedal case without any issue. The removable compartment holds my bass drum spurs, cowbell, towel, stick bag & throne seat.The wheels are tough and manage well on uneven surfaces, and the interior straps do a surprisingly good job of keeping the contents in place. It's sturdy and you can easily load it up with more weight than you can comfortably manage which will murder your back if you don't exercise some caution. I gave it a 4.5 because it lacks a handle on one short side of the case that really would have facilitated a 2-person carry: otherwise it truly is perfect.

THE CAVEATS: A: don't try to fit this case into a CAR with a kit and B: loaded with double braced stands this thing has taken my lower back out... TWICE! I gave 4.5 for features because it needs a second lift-handle on the other side.The removable tray is perfect size for a thronetop, stick bag and cowbell etc... SKB for the WIN!

FANTASTIC piece of equipment, I don't go anywhere without it!!!! The only breakage I have on it is what I did myself to it (the clip) and it STILL clips. Worth the price hands downs.

If you are a gigging drummer, and you're sick of making like, 8 trips to carry all your hardware, and you need a durable case to get the job done, look no further.
