A smokin deal

By Ren-Oyshu

from tucson, AZ

I just got the set a week ago and I love it! I got the wine red finish, what a beaut. It'll take a while to tune the heads, which aren't the best in the world, but by no means the worst either. Well worth the price!

Really nice set. Really nice price. The mounting system for the toms is excellent for getting them exactly where you want them, but when the wingnut that keeps them in place is tightened, it doesn't completely keep the toms stationery. There are notches, however, to put memory clamps in place, which drastically helps its stability. I'm not sure if the set is supposed to come with them or not, but mine didn't have them. The stock heads limit the sound of the set, but as soon as you replace them (I bought Aquarian Power Dot IIs) the set sounds excellent.

Great Drums

After looking at other brands of drums in this price range (Tama and Pearl), I took a chance on the Sonor's after reading the reviews. I'm glad to say I wasn't disappointed. They are an exceptional kit for the price. They are easy to tune and stay in tune well. The tom mount was a little hard to figure out out first, but I eventually got it. Great value, look and sound great!

I love this set

I've had this set for 11 months, and it has served me ver very well. Very little has bugged me with my set. The stock drumsheads are good enough to not be replaced, not a very common occurance with a beginner drumset! I cannot tell you anything about the snare, being as I purchased a Sonor 2003 snare before I acquired this set. The hardware is perfect, although the tom size/mounting system may make it difficult to find that perfect position. The cymbal stand included is very versatile and sturdy. It'll take some hitting to knock that baby over! I plan on getting Ambassador heads eventually. 3 thumbs up!

You'll definitely think you paid more.

This set is very nice. You should try some more expensive sets first, then try this one. You'll be amazed with the sound and how much you get for the money compared to some more expensive sets. Even the accompanying hardware is nice. You get a chain drive pedal, a nice boom cymabal stand, and a nice hi-hat stand. Sonor is definetly selling this at a volume price. You also get Sonor heads made by Remo. The black is a very nice finish. The set looks and feels more expensive than it is. Very nice. I plan on keeping this set for a long time.

This set is great. It was my starter set and I used it for years after. It has great tonal qualities and is easy to tune. It just didnt give me the booming deep sound that I wanted so I got a Ludwig Accent CS Custom Elite which is the greatest set I've played because I got and extra floor tom for it and it sounds like it has three bass drums.

Best set played for the price

By Little-drummer-boy-122

This set, is the best set I have played! For the price range that is, and I have played a lot of different brand sets. The only drums I can say would come close to the quality and sound is yamaha pro masters. I highly recommend this set for beginners, as well as performers, and professionals.

Great for the $$

By EddieC-lyMf0

I bought a set of these used from a friend and could not be more pleased with the tones you get (especially with a good set of heads). My friend who had them even recorded his old band's cd using these with amazing results! I would recommend getting the 14" floor tom in addition if you can order one. And everyone loves the silver color under the par cans. Great kit for those of you like myself who are on a budget.

Awesome Set

This is an awesome set, i mean it doesn't stack up against the best out there, but come on, it's value surpasses the other sets tenfold. I would highly recommend this to a drummer at any side of the spectrum from the beginner even to the touring pros. great set, you won't be disappointed.

This is the perfect drumset for anyone on a budget. If you've been playing for years, or are just starting, the Force 1003 is for you. It has great sound, amazing if you switch to better heads. Overall, a really good drum set, I would recommend it to anyone.

Sweet drums

This is the sweetest drumset ever. It's got such nice sound but the drum head are going to be needed to be changed. I'm probably going to get remo ambassodor heads. Other than that pretty sweet.

I've been playing drums for many years now and I originally played Ludwig and Paiste cymbals but ever since I bought this set it's changed. This is a great set I suggest any drummer buy it even if it's just a back up set great drums and price and I suggest Sabian Cymbals.

Great as a Second Set!

By MattyJoe

I just got this really nice set in Black and it was definately a step up from my beginner kit. The hardware is very sturdy and the drums sound very good. I would definately recommend this to beginners who have already worn out their first set and who are looking for a step up. This drumset is definately that type.
