Comments about Sound Percussion Labs Baja Percussion Double Row Headless Tambourine with Brass Jingles:

Most commonly found tambourines these days have thin/cheap jingles, thin slots, are made of plastic and are expensive. This one reminds me of the Rogers and Ludwig tambourines of the 60's - nicely built, wide slots for more sound and longer jangle (wet sound). The asking price is too high, but the normal 1/2-price here is a good buy. You may want to fashion a cloth cover where you hold on because it can cause blisters.

Comments about Sound Percussion Labs Baja Percussion Double Row Headless Tambourine with Brass Jingles:

This is a well-made tambourine with heavy brass jingles. Its handle is not a plastic ergonomic handle, so you're going to have to find a position in your hand that works for you. I would describe the sound as a little more wet than a steel jingle that I have used in the past, that I am very pleased with it sound. The pins that hold the shingles in place appear to be filled in with silicone that is just smeared on the wood. The silicone rubs off easily and I have secured the pins and with a tiny drop of cyano acrylic glue, also known as super glue. Other than that this is a great tambourine and is very affordable.
