Comments about Sound Percussion Multi Rods Brush Sticks:
The sticks are terrible. In the first few uses the cap on the one fell off, after that things went down hill. They are lose and the individual rods do not stay in place. Also the rods start to splinter soon after the first few uses. DO NOT BUY!
Comments about Sound Percussion Multi Rods Brush Sticks:
Upon using these for the first time, most of the rods began to slip past the tip and out of the handle, so every other song I was having to push them back in. I guess I got what I payed for, but they didn't even hold up anywhere near the more expensive Vic Firth or ProMark rods.
Comments about Sound Percussion Multi Rods Brush Sticks:
I've used "Hot-rods" for some time and thought I'd try these out. They are a bit cheaper. After playing with these for about 10min they start to come apart...not just the tips or shredding like the hot-rods but, the rods creep out from the grips! Sticking out from the top of the sticks, the grip starts to get loose on the rods as they move forward. Terrible sticks. I'll never buy them again--- unusable--- couldn't even imagine playing a gig with these---would be a tragedy on stage----- stick with Hot-Rods!!!!!
Comments about Sound Percussion Multi Rods Brush Sticks:
I've been using the Vic Firth rutes for a while and my biggest complaints with them are that the black retaining sleeve tends to slide down the stick while playing, and the handles are ridiculously oversized so they don't "feel" like sticks. I decided to give these a try instead. I love the feel of them, their handles are more like stick diameter and they're lighter than the Rutes. I only play with these once a week (at church) so I don't pound on them, but after only a few performances one of the sticks started to come apart. So, cheaper than Rutes, feel better, but less sturdy. I'll probably get them again and hit the butt end with hotglue first.
Comments about Sound Percussion Multi Rods Brush Sticks:
Alrighty, so I was buying a new boom stand and saw these on the counter. I decided to give em' a try. Needless to say, these are not the best. Although you can't really "truly" compare these to Vickfirth's and Promark stuff, they are alright. Good for some light jazzy funky beats, but don't expect to play light with them in a song and then build up. The projection can only get so loud, and the two black sleeves that hold the sticks all in a round shape will start to tear. Plus the sticks start to dent and chip. Overall the product is ok. Just don't get your hopes up when you buy em'.
