Pro 5-Piece shell pack
The 8-ply basswood shells feature 45-degree bearing edges, chrome hoops and lugs, and double-ply drumheads. The toms come with suspension mounting brackets and heavy-duty tom arms. The suspension mounts allow the drums to resonate freely creating a more open tone that sings. The kick drum is adorned with telescoping bass drum spurs for solid support.

I hadnt played drums fo many years and my son gave me this set as a present.The first thing that I noticed was that shells are very well made.The hoops and tom hardware are fair but not top quality.My toms have suspension mounts.On the down side the original heads sounded really flat so I swapped them out for some Remo Ambassador heads.That improved the tone and the overall sound quite a bit.The snare throwoff was very poorly made so I swapped in a Ludwig P85 throwoff.One of the bass drum claws broke when I was tuning the front bass head. I emailed sound percussion and the sent me a new one within a few weeks.The kit didnt come with hardware and I would recommend a Ludwig 400 hardware pack.It is reasonably priced and a good value for the money. The bass and hat pedals are reaonably responsive and the cymbal/snare stands are heavy duty and very well made.While this is not a pro kit by any means it does sound pretty good and is good enough for the beginning and hobby drummer.Over all I am very happy with this kit.

Great set of drums for a small price. I can find no negatives about these. If you are thinking about buying an entry level set, you will not be disappointed with these drums.

Overall not bad for a beginner kit. Decent sound when you change the heads but overall....not bad at all
Features are okay. But the best part of this kit is the hardware pack. I was very impressed the the hardware that came with the kit.

Overall I am extremely pleased with the kit. The sound is good, the looks are excellent, the hardware package is holding up very well and seem to be of excellent quality. The drums have held their pitch very well for nearly a year and I almost never need to re-tune them. If you're looking for a good quality starter/intermediate kit, you should check this one out.
Good starter package and good sounding kit. Everything except cymbals to be up and running right out of the box. Looks great; I got the Wine Red with black hoops and lugs. I really like the suspension mounting of the mounted toms. I did replace the tom heads with REMO Weatherking Pinstripes (for a better sound) and the resonance heads on the toms for appearance (I put black ones on to match the black resonant Bass head).
Problems: only two. My batter bass head didn't fit correctly, and I broke a lug trying to install it. SP has not responded to my requests for a replacement lug so I'm using a mis-matched lug. I went to the local music store and purchased a replacement batter head and it fit perfectly.
Lately I've had some issues with the snare throw-off and may have to replace that, but it's a cheap fix.
With the quality hardware package, great looks, suspension mounting of the toms, this set is a very good value for a rather modest cost.
