I recently purchased this stand to use with my travelling drum kit. Sound Purcussion equipment is very durable professional grade stuff at wonderful prices! I would highly recommend this to anyone! Why pay more if you don't need to!

Good for smaller snares, and practice pads. not much else...

I really do enjoy the quality of this snare stand for the price. I use it for my practice pad so I can be a bit lazy and not have to switch out my snare (lolz). It's a great product, but one thing I'm not so satisfied with is that the snare basket is tilted to the left a little bit. It tends to make it feel kind of awkward. It's decently heavy, but depending on the size of your snare, I wouldn't put too much weight on it. If you're running low on cash, and need (or want) a seperate snare stand to permanentally keep your practice pad on, go for it.

Great lightweight stand for 10" snare drum, not much else

Features:

Excellent basket arm set-up. Great features overall for an inexpensive stand. It would have been outstanidng to have the other half of what looks like half an integrated memory lock on the main tube.

Quality:

The quality itself is excellent. Good plating and parts well-fitted especially for an inexpensive stand. The wing nuts and wing screw are quite small and light compared to the rest of the stand though.

Value:

It's priced about right for what you get compared to other full-sized, heavier stands.

Overall:

I've had a lot of snare stands in 46 years of playing. And here's what really hurts the overall rating for me. This stand was the perfect answer for my 10" side-snare. I wouldn't recommend it for anything else however. It's too lightweight, not bottom-heavy enough. And when the legs are extended far enough out, the brace angles are just not right to make a heavier drum steady. It would also look like a miniature stand compared to a bigger drum. The parts are well-made, just to thinner specs even though the main tube diameters are standard sized. I wouldn't even consider trying my 17 pound Tama Lars Ulrich or DW 8x14 on it. I am very grateful that previous reviewers mentioned that it will work with a 10" drum.

That's why I keep coming back to Musicians Friend, I can always find what I'm looking for in any price range and it's never cheap junk that's not worth owning. Thanks MF!

This stand will do everything you need it to do. I usually purchase Gibraltar hardware but I bought this item for a beginners set that I use to teach on. I wouldn't be ashamed to use it on my high dollar maple kit.

For the money I don't think you could get a nicer stand anywhere. It's nice to find quality like this in a low cost piece of hardware.

I love to find a good deal and this is one! I'd have to rate this item at the top.
