I've got the 6" medium. It's an incredibly focused, tonal metallic sound that will cut through anything. It's also fairly responsive for its size and can be used for texture, if you have brushes or a light touch. Beyond that it's something of a one-trick pony, however. As with some chinas, you'll feel yourself cringe when you strike it too hard. Still, I recommend it. Definitely a unique and cool sound for those who get melodic with their cymbal work or who need to cut through large bands.

Just amazing
When i got this i was kind of just wanting an effect cymbal, but now that i have this cymbal i am hooked. It is a great effect cymbal, but it also works great as a cymbal you can use constantly in a beat. Ut has a nice dark sound and long sustain that is just amazing.
They are very good quality and seem very durable, but I havnt had them for very long.
Very very worth your money

Comments about Stagg Black Metal Bell:
I love this bell because of its pure tone, minimal undertones, and quick decay. And the price can't be beat! I hate most of the other mass production bells out there - they're double the price, ring twice as long (or longer) and sound twice as ugly.
Granted, they may be louder, but this one holds its own and blends in nicely unlike the Zil-Bel, Alu-Bells or Radias.
I like this one so much and the others that I have heard, that I've decided to pick up four or five or the other sizes and thicknesses to spread around my kit.

Comments about Stagg Black Metal Bell:
Every drummer has the one thing they couldn't live without on there kit, this is mine. One of the most unique bells out there. I was in a drum shop and saw one. it looked different so I decided to try it, after I listened to it one time. I picked it up and took it to the register. I love this bell, I probably use it to much

Comments about Stagg Black Metal Bell:
I have had two of these on my set, one 6" and one 7" for about 5 years now.
They honestly look like the day I got them. They still look amazing and are super thick.
I guarantee these will last longer than anything on your set.
The sound variation is vast between the two, so it is completely worth it to get as many different sizes as you want.
Definitely not the same sound as a Zil-Bel, but I actually have grown to like these better.
I upgraded all of my cymbals to the Stagg Black Metal series, and get endless compliments everywhere I play.
People come tell me how good they sound, and then they see them, and like that they're "Different"
I know it's been said a million times before, but don't hesitate to buy these because they aren't from the big three.
The quality is there, they sound awesome, and are solid as a rock.

Comments about Stagg Black Metal Bell:
I like the sound of this bell a lot. It actually resonates for about 30 seconds before it finally dies out. In any case, it is really loud if hit at the right spot and pierces through the band.
Comments about Stagg Black Metal Bell:
The Stagg Black Metal Bell is a great cymbal series. I recently bought the 6'' medium and I love it; it is just what my band needed! I hit a lot of single-bell-notes, which can make the song if done right, but break it if I miss the bell on my ride ( I haven't missed a single stroke on this cymbal yet!). It works well upside down on a cymbal like a ride or a crash, but I pay it upside down on it's own stand to not affect the tone of this cymbal or another which I would be stacking this one upon.
Like a lot of people, I started out looking at zil-bels on the internet and my local music shop, but couldn't find one within a good price range, even used. So I looked all over the internet searching through Paiste, Meinl, LP, Saluda and even Atlas and finally stumbled upon Stagg. I was interested to know that every cymbal they produce is hand hammered and, that in turn, each cymbal is unique. But the price is what first drew me in, it is a great value for a new cymbal. I hope the prices stay this low!
It is LOUD, and bright, with darker overtones and it is very practical and playable. I can't imagine what a larger, heavier one would sound like, it must be CRAZY. I will definitely buy more, but I don't think this one will be giving me trouble anytime soon, it is SOLID. And the look is one-of-a-kind. I recently bought another Stagg soon after, a 17'' DH Crash Cymbal: Very loud and crash/gongy, reminiscent of wuhan crashes, but really Stagg is all its own. I love both my Staggs!

Comments about Stagg Black Metal Bell:
I had my eyes on the zil-bell for sometime and always wanted one but the price was way much and I thought I could find something just as good. I stumbled upon this and did some research on youtube. It has a good sound but it may not be as loud as the zil-bell, hence it won't ring as long either. it's great for the price and you honestly cant go wrong with it. DING DING
Comments about Stagg Black Metal Bell:
I bought the 7" medium, hoping to get a lower-pitched complement to my 6" Zil=Bel. I was disappointed, I must say. The lathing gives it a much more "open" and wider frequency range, and also a much less pingy attack than I was looking for. Also, it won't always sound the same every time you hit it, not useful when you need consistency. However, it makes a nice percussive effect, where the aforementioned shortcomings become advantages. For metal I wouldn't recommend it though.
Comments about Stagg Black Metal Bell:
I've had the 6.5 heavy bell for over a year, and the more I play it the more I like it. I've played it upside down, right-side up, and stacked on various splashes. The tone is very clean when played separately, and gives me very versatile white noise and "pingy" sounds when I mount it on splashes. I like the unfinished look - I've tried out other bells and I'm sticking with these.
