    Where have they been hiding?

    Comments about Stagg DH Dual-Hammered Brilliant Medium Splash Cymbal:

    I asked a buddy to borrow some cymbals for a show once. He brought me an 18 inch Stagg DH as well as a 19 inch AAX. This stagg makes the AAX sound like garbage. This Stagg is BRIGHT! Very pretty sound. Not too sharp, so it doesn't cut through the rest of what you're doing. Although I did crack mine in about 3 months, but thats because I was using it as my main crash, and we're a metal band...so it got thoroughly abused. This series can sound great if you buy the crashes, their rides are a little strange, but these crashes fit perfectly with a dream 21 inch thin ride. Perfect. All in all, I'd recommend this over anything else, but would still recommend only performing live or recording with them, and practice with a set of B8's. Oh, and the hi-hats are a dream!
